My 901 got here early this afternoon -- Wooo Hooo!!! I just ordered it on 6/2 from esmokeyshack, so I am quite impressed with how quick that was!
I had just enough time to put one together and try it a little before I left for work -- and I am SO surprised -- it is much more like a real cig than I thought it would be!

But, now I have an issue -- I put one of the batteries on to charge while I was at work as it said to charge it for at least 8 hours ... It was on the charger for about 10 hours, and when I got home the battery's LED light was orange (I got a black 901 w/blue LED light) ... I took it off of the charger, and the LED light is still orange, and it is kind of blinking. This has been going on for an hour, and looks as if it has no intention letting up. When I try to add the atomizer & cartridge I can hear a bit of a sizzle sound, as if it is heating it up REALLY fast. It's as if it is super hot. Needless to say I didn't keep the atomizer and cartridge on as I was afraid I would burn out the atomizer.

Does anyone have an idea of what has happened to my battery? Will it cool off? Have I killed my first battery already? Is it gonna blow up on me???

I dont think you can overcharge the battery, so whatever it is, its not your fault.

There seems to be a lot of people, myself included, that have gotten 901's with 1 bad battery lol.

I havnt had that issue specifically, but to me it sounds like circuitry issues resulting in the battery being on all the time.
I cant explain the orange LED, maybe they just shipped you the wrong color LED and its turning on constantly
Is the blinking constant? or random?
If its constant, I have no idea.
If its random, try hitting it on some hard surfaces(not hard enough to break it, but to loosen the circuitry on the inside) and see if you can at least get it shut off.

I would contact the person you bought it from and ask for another battery, that one is obviously faulty.

I have a 901 with a blue led, but it does flash orange at me during its auto-cleaning cycle or when the battery is low. No idea why it would start flashing at you so soon though, sounds like you got a bad one to me.

It sounds weird, but I agree that you can try smacking it around a little -- helps with mine when the switches stick. Also try sucking hard on the non-led end to loosen up the switch. But mainly, I'd say send it back. You shouldn't have to do that stuff straight out of the box.

OMG, the smacking it worked! Thanks!
I am using the other battery that came with the kit right now, and it seems to be doing great, even without the 8 hour charge.
I will contact the supplier and see if they will replace the other, as I am kind of worried about trying to use it now.
Another question -- on the juice bottle, there is a rounded ball on the tip of the applicator -- does one leave that tip on and dip it into the juice and get drops that way, or, should I cut off the rounded ball?

Thanks again!

I suppose you could do that...but I cut mine off right below the little ball and squeeze juice into carts, and that works fine for me. Haven't heard of anyone trying it the other way. :p

UPDATE:
I contacted Curt at esmokeyshack about the battery and he is sending a replacement -- should be here today. I have to say, I am impressed with this company ... REALLY great delivery time on my order (2 days), and great customer service (immediate reply and solution to the battery issue). I am also liking the two flavors that I got from them ... the tobacco and the coffee. The coffee one tastes just like dark chocolate covered coffee beans.

I have had my 901 for 4 days now, and I am so loving it. Vaping is going SO much better than I had even imagined -- I WAS a 2+ (up to 3!) pack a day smoker. I have gone from 40+ cigarettes a day down to 2 cigarettes a day (in just 4 days!). In fact the most I have smoked since I got my e-cig was 4 cigarettes in one day, and that was on the first day. I have noticed that it takes more vaping time (compared to smoking time) to get my nicotine fix. At home I can just vape away, but that is harder to do at work, and so that first day was a bit tough. It evened out pretty quickly though and by the second day I did just fine at work with only vaping.

Just about every smoker at work has tried my new e-cig -- all of them were amazed at how close it simulates the actual smoking experience, and all thought that the tobacco taste was very realistic ... the comment was always: "It's just like you're smoking, but you are trying someone's cigarette that smokes a different brand than you do." Several are putting in orders for their own e-cigs now. :)

And last night I put in an order for another 901 and some more supplies too. My boyfriend is wondering when the "saving money" part of this going to kick in. :?:

Well, some folks seem to do better with that than others. I am not one of the thrifty folks. :D

Seriously, though, if you settle into a model you like, you'll find that it can be substantially cheaper than analogs. The challenge is not being tempted to try every model out there and every type of juice available.
