...no long winded post - just a big "THANK YOU!!" to everyone that guided me when I first joined here at ECF.

Today is my 31st day without analogs, and as the title says, ...it's never been easier!! ...for me at least. I've tried everything to get off the analogs. I didn't start vaping thinking it would be easy - but here's the kicker - it was extremely easy!

So, as I celebrate watching the Cowboys/Eagles game with my XHALER at my side, I say, "Go Cowboys!!" and "Thanks, ECF!!"

to those just starting their vaping journey....Good luck to you and I hope your success to be like mine.

Thanks!

Congratulations, Chris!

For me, this was never an issue. I've never thought of an e-cig as a smoking cessation device. I took up vaping mainly because I love gadgets. I've embraced it because it tastes so good and is so much fun.

Once you've gone for awhile without even thinking about analogs, bum one off someone and light it up. I dare you to finish it. They taste awful (and I smoked happily, if not healthily, for 40 years).

I specifically smoked one analog just before midnight on New Year's because I didn't plan or expect to quit so I didn't have a specific "quit date" to point to. One day I realized it'd been a while since I had a cigarette. By having one on New Year's Eve, I gave myself a date to point to and an added motivation to stay analog-free. I've given myself "permission" to smoke if and when I want to, but if I do, I lose the opportunity to say I've not smoked a cigarette in this decade.

The vaping world keeps getting a little bigger and continues to improve as we speak. I am assured that a vast percentage of smokers will wake up to realize one day that every corner of the street they look at and see someone vaping on their favorite e-cig. They become interested and rush to the store to find an e-cig in its' own little section and before long, we may have a greatly reduced census of tobacco users nation wide.
I for one cannot even picture what America would be like if say half if not more of the population quit smoking.. even if they simply continued vaping nic and shared in the health benefit.

I hope you continue being happy and vaping frequently. May your batteries always be charged and your atties remain wet.
Sincerely,
Tom

As I sit here at my desk and vape huge billows of clouds, I am past content. As I fill my lungs with fresh air - even moreso that I've been able to fill them for years, I am past content.

Thanks to all of you!!

Tom said it best:

Now - I ask that you please go check out NHALER's Holiday picture voting thread. As a candidate I ask for you vote - but please vote on who you think has the best submission...daddy needs some new stuff. :p

Good luck to those that entered, btw!

Shortstuff the signature is hot-pasted off a small app called SilkQuit that sits in my taskbar. Here's the link Quit Meter - Stop smoking; tools, support and chat. The site itself offers many quit smoking methods. I can't find an explanation on that result. I use it because it's easy to edit my sig. (I have one on my Droid, says almost exactly the same thing - Smoker Statistics).

Thanks for the link Slighter. I used SilkQuit years ago and glad to have the link again. Going to keep that one on my dekstop so when time comes to put my savings into my ciggie bank (get it????), I will have the actual total avail:). The one I have below is a little off cause it accounts for 1.50/day for carts and supplies.
