Hi folks I've been super busy the last couple of days but I have to say that smoking has not been part of mine or my husbands days. We have both been enjoying vaping a lot and after a trip to my local vape shop we found the correct strength of nicotine for us, a few new flavors that we both enjoy and we have both been smoke free for 4 days!!! I can't believe I stumbled on to vaping while cruising the net late one night. I'm so glad I did. My husband has thanked me everyday the last couple of days for finding this new thing that has made not smoking so easy for us.:) This morning he said that he feels so much better already. I know we have a long way to go and I know that we both have some things to go thru from all the smoking we did but I think that we will both be able to meet the challenge head on bc we don't want to smoke anymore.....we want to vape! But now on a more serious note....Is MTBAKERVAPOR a good place to buy some ejuice. I love my local vape shop but nothing is under $13 for a 15 ml bottle. Or maybe I just need to figure out how to make our own. As always any and all advice is appreciated. I need one of those banners at the bottom of my post that says I've been smoke free for 4 days. I'm damn proud of myself and my husband:toast:

Congratulations, and Welcome to ECF!

There are a lot of Mount Baker flavors I like (Try their cinnamon roll - not a tank cracker!).

Some haven't been quite as good (I don't particularly care for their creams, and I tried several: Sweet cream, whipped cream, bavarian cream and a couple others).

Don't start with the big bottles! Get the small sizes until you figure out which ones you like!

You might also take a look at Killer-juice.com. Some people say their juice is really weak, others love it. However, each week (Weds-Sun) they have a sale of selected flavors for either .99 or 1.99 for a 15ml bottle, so give them a try! (The "blitz sale" juices are now on their front page).

Vape on!

First, Congrats! Can't comment on that brand of juice because I've never tried it, but small bottles are a good idea! I DIY, but why don't you get the hang of vaping first? Making juice isn't all that complicated, but you'll want to know what kind of juice you like before you make it. And I warn you, it becomes an obsession for many of us.;)

So glad to hear that it's working for you guys! Congratulations, and thanks for the update!

:toast:

When it comes to ejuice companies, I think you'll find that opinion is extremely divided, and that people can be weirdly passionate about their faves. Mount Baker has a gazillion fans, and an equal number of foes. I myself would recommend ordering sample sizes from several vendors, and seeing which you like best.

All that said, I ought to point out that your taste buds are probably still in pretty lousy shape from all those years of smoking. It might well be six months or (yikes!) a year before you really taste the subtleties of juices. Many beginners seem to like stronger flavors for this reason - mint, cinnamon, menthol, and so on - so you might give those a try if you find that a lot of juices just seem kinda blah to you.

Congrats on the 4 days Smoke Free Appaloosastar! I know switching to vaping was a little nerve wrecking for you so I'm happy that you truly enjoy it now! MTBAKERVAPOR is pretty awesome! You get a lot for the price. Now some of their flavors I don't like but it's really just trail and error when it comes to eliqiuids!

That's awesome! Congrats on the switch, There are tons of ways to get juice for cheaper. You can always DIY which is not very hard at all and you save a grip load! there's alot of tutorials etc on juice making via forums, youtube etc. Theres also websites that sell 100+ML bottles for approx 20$.

That is fantastic!!! Good for both of you!

I am also so incredibly astounded by how effective vaping is. I seriously tried quitting so many times, and I have never been so happy with any other method. I really believe this is the end of cigarettes for me for GOOD! I just have to get my boyfriend into it too. He is coming around to the idea, but he still refuses to try mine so far... I think I messed up by letting him try my crummy cigalikes several months back, and now he thinks vaping is useless. :p I am hoping to bring him to the light by getting tasty flavors and constantly talking about how awesome vaping is!!

Again, congratulations to you both!!!!! :vapor: What setup do you guys use now?

Yeah. The first kind I ever tried was a Mark Ten and it put me off vaping for a while. I am on some cigalikes now but they aren't as bad as those and will do me until my vaporizer I got coming in the mail gets here. I am excited to actually be getting a decent one. It is also nice to be off analogs. I feel much better not having them. Though I do get the urge to hit one when I smell one sometimes. But I resist it. lol

Mt Baker is good...not the best, but can't argue with their prices...they have a ton of flavors and ship quickly. A word of caution. Don't stock up too much until your sense of smell and taste come back. I bought 20 bottles (yes, twenty) of my first juice, only to discover that I didn't really like it a few weeks later...in fact I hated it. I paid it forward to my son-in-law...never liked him much either.

I remember my third day. I was just sitting in my easy chair, fiddling with my new fangled cig-sized ecig. I must have had a strange look on my face because my wife, across the room in her easy chair (we sound like a couple of old fogies, don't we), asked me what was wrong. I had just gone a whole day without a cigarette, the first for over 40 years, and I was just totally amazed. That was the look on my face...just stunned amazement.

Congrats on your 4th day...before you know it, you'll be counting in years, not days.

WAY TO GO!!!!

I've ordered Mt. Baker Vapor before, and was only disappointed in the first freebie (because I didn't know I could pick my own with appropriate minimum order.) I didn't add flavor shots on anything either.

Killer Juice has weekend sales (specially selected choices for $0.99 or $1.99 for 15 mL bottle.) Ordered once from them, and wasn't disappointed either (after I let my French Vanilla - coffee flavored sit for a few days.)

Other than that, I was buying from my local B&M, but started DIY a few weeks ago. THAT's going to be substantially cheaper. I'm not overly precise, but I'm getting juices that are perfectly vapable for *me*

to you and your husband. Continued success to you both also. Isn't vaping awesome?

Before I got into the DIY phase of my favorite hobby, I use to check this thread for some good deals. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/418767-deals-steals-224.html

Good luck to you both and happy vaping. :)
