This vape acquisition thing.

I started researching e-cigs when my mother moved in with me a few months ago. She was a pack a day smoker my whole life and had cut way back by using the blu brand e-cig, but because she lost hers in the move she started smoking analogs again. I decided to help her by getting doing some research and ended up picking her up an ego battery, charger and a couple clearomizers with some juice from the local vape lounge. While figuring it out for her, I started to really like the looks of some things.

So I bought a K100 kit off of ebay, and a protank 2. It took me a couple of months then but I finally decided to get some juice.
Then the local vape lounge got some X6 kits in, so I had to pick up one of those in black. I really liked the purple though.
Then I discovered you could buy the X6 battery for like 20 bucks or so online.
Then I decided I really had to have an MVP 2. Oh, and and a protank 2 with black glass. And a protank 2 with purple glass to go with the purple X6. Friday should be a fun day when santa's big brown sleigh gets here.

I still only have 1 bottle of juice.

I have never smoked cigarettes. I smoke an occasional pipe, and have a small collection of briars, but haven't more than once or twice in the last few months.

What have I gotten myself into?

I'm a guitar player as well as a vaper...

I used to have a horrible disease called GAS, gear acquisition syndrome, when I was trying to find "my sound"

tons of different amplifiers, guitars, string types, pick types, effects boxes, effects processors, tuners, cables, wireless units, etc... Cost me thousands of dollars finding out what I liked... Here 20 some years later I am pretty happy with my guitar rig so I don't touch it anymore.

I find vaping to be similar... While you are learning what fits you the best, you'll go through tons of vape gear. Mods, clearos, cartos, RBA's, tanks, a plethora of juices... Thank goodness vape gear is much cheaper than musical instruments!

Good thing is, like musical instruments, good vape gear tends to hold a good portion of its value, so what you find you don't need you can sell in the classifieds. I have bought and sold loads of used musical equipment over the years... Same holds true for vape gear. Check out our classifieds here on ECF once you get verified, and you'll find a ton of great used gear.

One mans trash is another mans treasure!

Welcome to ECF BTW!

Hah! I know what you mean there...

I've been playing since I was around 12... I'll be 38 in a couple weeks, so it's been a while...

I still don't think I have talent... I can play a lot of other peoples stuff... :) But if you asked me to compose something on my own, pffft... Not happening. Try as I might to play what I hear in my head, I've never been much to get my ideas to record the way I want...

Maybe I confuse talent with creativity... Who knows... I think they go hand in hand. I'm not very creative at all, musically. I just play what I hear on the radio...

It would seem natural to go crazy.
Staying off analogs is important to me. Multiple attempts to quit colt turkey, wean off using pills patches and gums all failed miserably.
I found something that works and I want to keep it interesting. I want to make sure my vaping experience is the best I can make it to ensure I dont fall off the wagon.
I figure i spent well over 32 grand on cigs in 22 years. i think i can drop a 1000 on a nice variety of PVs and tanks to keep me happy for a while.
If i roll through a couple MLs a day or more, thats still only about 1-3 bucks a day depending on juice maker.
Im going to start DIYing and get that cost down even more.
Happy Vaping

The crazy thing is, I don't smoke cigarettes, just an occasional pipe. Don't even inhale the pipe smoke. But I really like vaping. I love the cool vapor, its nice and soothing.

Someone stop me, I just discovered the iTaste VTR. The only thing thats keeping me from pulling the trigger is that its not a matte finish device, I'm not in love with the shiny chrome. Although I think I could get used to it. Aaaahhhh!!
