We werent super thrilled with it fresh out of the mailbox either. Im liking it more than the wifey at this moment. She did not like Got Cookie AT ALL and she says this reminds her of that even though theres no mint. I totally disagree on that. I taste a different chocolate than the one in GC. We both wish there was more coconut too.

I can see the potential though so its goin in the cabinet for a few weeks. So me thinks all of us that arent super thrilled right now should come back and post what we think in 2 weeks or so. :headbang:

Different day, different device and a different experience as well...

Taifun GT2 parked on the SS Paps X built with a 2mm 28g coil to 1 ohm with Cotton Bacon wick. 4.2 volts with a fresh battery and 1 ohm the wattage comes out to 17.6 about the same set up as was used with the iStick 20/cyclone. The GT2 has a 10 hole adjustable AFC.

Wide open not getting much of the flavors one way or the other as the flavors seem to be melded together with no key element coming forward so I started throttling back but it was still a pleasant vape none the less. Now throttled back to the 3/2 (50%) opening position and hot cocoa has emerged on the intake and exhaust with the coconut coming forward in the finish.

Next up a vv/vw device and more steeping time for sure. May play with it in a small chambered atty such as the Chalice and something with wide open air as well.

This juice certainly has me intrigued like no other so the plan is to get it up and running in multiple devices in which to compare.

At the end of the second 6ml reo bottle and the love keeps growing. Will try the GT II and maybe the Aqua later tonight time permitting. I've just been lovin' it in the reo and haven't been highly motivated to change a thing. I can tell this will steep into a different animal and very curious to see where it goes. But it's also really workin' for me fresh.

Clark said cocoa was less prevalent at high watts, but my experience has been different. I'm getting lots of cocoa at about 50W (0.36 ohms with a fresh bat). The other notes are there, but subtle. The cocoa for me is a powdery hot cocoa, which is maybe why this turned a few people off. It's a gas for me - plays wonderfully on the taste buds. This is definitely still the predominant flavor of this liquid. The other flavor notes are too subtle to really yell s'mores at this point, and there's not a lot of NET smokiness there.

I'm also happy with the lesser gunk factor on this guy. Atlanta was the hardest on my coils that I can think of. That NET gunked up fast, but TC is more friendly there. It doesn't have quite the staying power of peeps, but it doesn't lay waste to coils quite as quickly as Atlanta did for me. I'm thinking this build with TC is good for about 12-18ml before it hits my threshold for needing a re-wicking. Peeps is more like 18-24ml, and Atlanta was more like 4-5ml from memory.

I'm not sure why I bother posting device specifics - I don't really vary my gig based upon juice or play with wattage, but here goes...

REO Grand
Catfish Derringer
.43ish ohms, dual 26g, 2mm, KGD wick (I know, I know - you're all surprised)

I'll start with a Got Cookie reference, since so many have been made. Personally, to me, a recovering choco-holic, Got Cookie was a perfect chocolate vape - except for the mint, which ruined it for me in the end and saw the last of my stash to the classies. No, this vape is, fresh, nothing like Got Cookie, in terms of the chocolate. But yes there is chocolate ;) and yes it is good...

That said, this juice needs to steep. I'll hit it every once in a while until it pops but this is not a great vape fresh IMO. It's interesting though, and promising. In fact I've experienced enough of Clark's juices now to be confident in his words that a time will come when it tastes nothing like it does fresh. I can almost taste the coming transformation. It tastes "young." But it tastes like it is just waiting to explode.

I taste smores though - chocolate, marshmallow, graham cracker - a light sweetness I believe is from the coconut - and a strange taste which has been described as perfumey and I concur. That will change - fast ;) the after taste is outstanding and the room note made Chrissy want smores. Luckily, we had leftover smores pizza in the fridge. A match made in heaven.

And when it does pop I'll probably order 10 more bottles

PS - this juice is a candidate for dual twisted 28g next...just sayin :)

Heya Sloth! Great feedback dude! You're spot on - it's young. There are several curves in the road ahead. I know where it landed for me personally - I can say with little reservation that this has the potential to take down a notch on my personal ADV list... and that's NEVER happened - ever. That said, the fresh bottles are NOT there yet for me. It's a decent vape fresh - and I can totally see some people having difficulty steeping it (myself included) - but - it's tobacco... goes without saying that the best is yet to come!!

The gunk factor is another thing I would like to be attentive to. There is more NET in the liquid as compared to some of the other liquid!

I picture Clark sitting there smirking to himself, because he knows that a day is soon coming where I will flip out over this juice.

Let me just say, I'm glad I'm getting a woodville soon. I need a fourth mod. I fully expect TC to eventually move to true ADV status - a dedicated mod - always on tap. If it does so, it will only be the third juice to make that jump in Sloth Status...

I have faith in TC, and Nicoticket for that matter. Having said that, I must admit I can't wait for the day to arrive when steeping being a necessity to enjoy your e-juice as intended is a thing of the past. I chalk it up to vaping being in its relative infancy. I, for one, am not a fan of "the journey."

Disclaimer: I am not patient. :p

I hear you TriStar. I myself would be sad - the journey is part of the fun to me, and I'm thankful to NT because I already was familiar with the journey when I began DIY. With DIY, patience for the journey is crucial. But there's no telling what the future holds for vaping - innovation is strong within the community and the industry alike. That's one of the most beautiful things about it to me - innovation :)

edit - wandering soul, the coconut, from Clark's on words, is light. It's not meant to be a predominant note at all. It kind of turned me off when I heard the word, too - then, via diy, I realized I really enjoy coconut mixed lightly into a vape. In comparison, what I was mixing was really strong on the coconut. IMO the coconut is barely discernible in the cure right now - it adds a certain sweetness, and I taste it if I reach for it.

how present is the coconut. i was getting excited about the review until i heard that word...

The coconut element is definitely there for me but than I have been blessed ( or cursed) with a very discerning palate and often get flavors from things that others do not. With that being said, the coconut is very subtle at this point and IMHO takes nothing away from the overall profile of the juice.

when i tried it at 25 watts i could sense it a bit, but above that not so much...the chocolate is evident at that wattage and higher...looking to see how this stuff ages, but i like it so far

I got no coconut as a separate flavor, and I like coconut though not in juices. So, I hope it's not forward for you!

I like The Virus fresh and don't like it steeped, I'm wondering if it will be the same with TC...one will see!!

Well said. I just can't stand getting all excited for vape mail to come in, cleaning my tank and priming a new coil, only to find that the e-juice that so many have been raving about is just not good (to me, of course). & the only solution is to set it aside in a drawer and forget about it for a few weeks - months, in hopes that it'll improve over time.

Although seeing as you're a DIYer, I can certainly understand why you would enjoy the journey as much as the destination.

Got mine today and it's quite good. I can relate to the hot chocolate references, but the graham cracker is there too. Not getting a lot of coconut at this point. It's running on a nuppin dual coil at 0.35 ohms right now. Curious to try 0.5 ohms - I have a feeling I might get more graham cracker and coconut there, but only one way to know for sure.

I'm looking forward to playing around with this to find the sweet spot. A mixer with peeps is definitely on the agenda. Nice job Clark.

I can tell you it's NICE with a bit of ACB but Peeps - oh heck yeah - trying that tomorrow.

I need to quick order more Atlanta and the Cure you know for the Zombie Apocalypse. Gotta throw in more ACB and Strawnilla and I just this morning cracked open my last Frenilla and Cheesecake. OH NO!

I think you are in store for one of the strangest "twists" in our line-up. Same same with the Virus - it'll be one of those things you test periodically until it 'pops' - once it does, you'll scratch your head and say "hrmmm, this isn't even the same liquid I vaped fresh" - at high wattage, even fresh, I get very little chocolate. As it steeps, the chocolate will recede, the tobacco will progressively emerge, and the liquid will balance. It's a typical tobacco eLiquid - I really don't think it's hit it's stride until it's steeped for at least 30 days - probably closer to 60. That said - I waged (and was correct) that lots of people would enjoy the journey as much as the destination... I wouldn't fret about it either way, it'll either come around for you or it won't! I'm anxious with anticipation for that post that goes "Ummmm, wow" ;) If it never comes, I think it these first batch bottles are going to be a hot commodity - I doubt there will be many on the swap meet (or, if there are, people will be busting out the good stuff to get it).

And THIS is why I think you're actually my brother by another mother. Couldn't have said it better myself!

Of course as of this writing I still love Virus and Wakonda better FOOB. Go figure.

Very subtle for me but I just built a .36 ohm dual coil on the Rogue with the smaller version of the ReadyXWick. Really nice but probably a hotter build than I'd normally use.

I'm cleaning and rewicking a Kayfun Nano to try it out in to have a different devices perspective. It'll be on my Provari so I can play with the wattage a little! I vaped 2 Reo bottles of it so far since yesterday afternoon! So freakin good!!

I'll check back in!
