There's really a wealth of information. Just by poking around, I'm learning a lot.
Yep. You can find info on pretty much anything/everything you'd want to learn, and/or have questions about,...that has to do with vaping.

By the way, congratulations on getting off the smokes! All members here...know what a major accomplishment that is to achieve. We're glad to have you join us here on ECF.

The move to really quit everything via the ecig method is to use something that you can put your own juice in. So you can control the amount of nicotine. The “level” system seems designed to me to prevent people from quitting. The steps are too large and they stop at 3ml which imho is way too high. So you either DIY (which has the advantage of being cheaper) or mix a zero with a nic juice to get smaller steps. I personally think the step after 3ml should be 2.5 or higher. Nicotine is really really addictive. Myself I’ve been DIYing and mixing 0.25ml less 100mg/ml base each time and using a squonk RDA. Then I’m going to go to 50ml base, etc.. Eventually I will hit zero. Most people who hit zero just spontaneously stop.

For all things e-Cigarette, Nicotine Strength IMO Epitomize the say'n "Everyone's Different".

Take what I used.

I quit Cigarettes using 36mg/ml. Nothing else could get me to the Other side. But after being Cigarette Free for about 90 days, the point where I felt I'd made it, I dropped down to 18mg/ml DIY. Even with 2010 Hardware, 36mg just seemed too High to use Day-2-Day.

I used 18mg/ml for Years. Saw the 1st eGo's. And Cartomizers emerge. Was there on that 2 Steps forward and 3 Steps back journey of the CE2. Saw the 1st TC Mods and ... anyway, you get the idea.

Somewhere around 2018 I got it in My Head that if cut My Nicotine intake in Half, that my Nicotine Base would last Twice as Long. (Graduate Level Math I know - LOL) So I did. I went to 9mg/ml. Then in early 2020 I thought if I went Unflavored, DIY sure would be Easy. How bad could Unflavored be? Turned out I liked it. Liked it a lot.

So for about 2 Years I did Unflavored 9mg/ml. Until Daylight Savings Time came in 2022. I hate Daylight Savings Time. I have that Nervous Feeling that I forgetting something. Kinda like that feeling I had way back in 2010 when I quit Cigarettes. Then it Hit me.

Why not Quit Nicotine? And just vape 0mg Unflavored? I'm going to feel Edgy anyway. Why Not? Nicotine at 9mg/ml | 3.5ml per day wasn't really doing anything. So I did. I poured my last batch of 9mg/ml down the sink and turned the page.

The Funny thing was, it really wasn't a big deal. Kinda like the step down to 9mg/ml Wasn't really a big deal. Two Days or Three Days of feeling a little Edgy and that was it. I no longer used Nicotine.

So I guess to make a Short Story Long is that for some, vaping just becomes a Habit more than a Need for Nicotine. And if you do it long enough, the steps down of Nicotine levels really isn't as big of a deal as I had thought they would be.

---

Waaaaay TL/DR:

Cutting down on Nicotine Levels Isn't necessarily hard. And 2 or 3 Days of Edginess can sometimes be all there is to it.

^^ Yes. This is exactly what I was thinking. I figured I would get myself a decent mod, a mtl rta and then come up with a juice so I could have some sort of control over my nicotine consumption. The goal is to get free of nicotine and vaping all together.

Rebuildables and DIY e-Liquids is the Only way to go.

Gives you the Complete Freedom to Experiment and find Exactly what Works Best for whatever direction you want to go.
