Actually I've been asked by my employer to self quarantine. Even my employer admits that the information he received was squirrelly but he wants to err on the side of caution. I and a few other drivers transport from a group home where one of the staff reported that they came in contact with a presumptive positive case. No one knows for sure because we can't get tested. Why that person thinks they came in contact with a covid-19 case is anyone's guess. Knowing the staff that work at that home I wouldn't put it past one of them to cry wolf so they can get 2 weeks off with pay.

First point of presumed contact for me would have been Monday, March 9. I feel fine and I'm pretty miffed about it. If I want to be a good citizen I will comply. I'll have to use Amazon to order food and supplies for myself and my cat, Nikko. Wonder how much that's going to cost me:eek:?

That's horrible but I'm confident you'll be just fine. I'm not a doctor but I stayed early a Holiday Inn Express.
Seriously lots of liquids and monitor your temp. If you show any signs go to the hospital. Better safe than sorry.

Thx Don. I feel perfectly fine. Just ...... off. But yeah, I'll be vigilant and do the right thing.

Can't blame you for the frustration at all. But like Don said, better safe than sorry. I haven't been quarantined, but my work has been shut down for the next three weeks for precautionary reasons. Hasn't even been a single confirmed case in my county, so I'm a bit frustrated too. I get the feeling that a lot of us are going to be in this boat pretty soon here.

Are you an Amazon Prime member?

Well, you have this place to hang around. We will be seeing more of this as the weeks go by, but at least Amazon is still around.

Paris and much of Spain were just shutdown outside of healthcare facilities. pharmacies, banks, and supermarkets. In Paris they are trying to still be civilized and are allowing tobacco shops to remain open.

I buy over half my groceries and all my pet food and supplies from Amazon. Not as cheap as Walmart, but not more than Meijers, and a lot less than my little mom n pop store.

I think a year of Prime is $129, and for that you get free prime shipping, music, tv, and a heads up on deals. I don’t have cable so I watch a lot of prime. Lots of good stuff.

Keeping my fingers crossed that you stay well.

Sorry to hear your situation, you have lots of friends here, so may not be in person, but you won't be alone! And if there is anything we can do to help let us know. I expect others will be joining you before this is all done.
Thanks so much. That means a lot to me. Right now I'm trying to find out about delivery services so I can get some food for myself and pet. I hear Instacart is pretty good? Idk, I've never had to try any of them.

Yes, I do have a Prime membership and I ordered soup from them when I was sick with a nasty cold. Recently, I tried to order and everything I needed was unavailable. Even Total Wine which delivers said they can't guarantee a timely delivery, lol.

Lol, I'll starve to death before dying of covid. I found this today rummaging around websites. This came from a state specific law blog.

Quarantine or isolation must be conducted in the least restrictive setting that complies with the minimum period of quarantine or isolation for that particular disease as described in Section 300.200. There is no time constraint placed on ordered quarantine or isolation beyond that specified within the order, or beyond when the individual no longer poses a serious danger to public health. During quarantine or isolation, the individual is to be monitored regularly to determine if continued confinement is required, the individual is to be provided adequate food, medicine, medical care, and mental health services as needed, and the state is to consider any cultural or religious beliefs or disabilities relevant to the individual’s needs.

Lol, nobody's calling me to ask what I want to eat. What a joke. I don't even know if my local health official is aware of all the residents in self quarantine. My boss gave me no details of reports or documentation. This is bogus. How can they expect people to survive. When I told my boss I don't have enough provisions he said, "I know".
