anywhere my broomstick takes me
To Post this!!!!! lol

I have been smoke free 1 year today!

I started smoking ciggy's when I was 11 years old.
Im almost 50 years old...never once since the age of 11 have I been able to quit.

Sure, I tried cold turkey, and that lasted maybe 1 week? Then I tried nic patch and that was a joke (jmo) Then I tried nic gum, again, a huge waste..Then I tried chantix, 4get it, didnt last 3 days on it...

My cousin came down for a visit last year in November for thanksgiving, and while he was visiting me, he let me try his ecig..I knew then that I was going to buy one, that it might possibly work for me eh?

So, On December 2nd of 09, I drove to a tabacco shop called puff n stuff and bought myself a over priced mini ecig...that mini ecig frustrated me,( but I kept vaping it)

Then I started Googling, and guess what? I found the ecf forum..
I must have lurked and read for days on end lol...

Okay, so after all my reading, i went and bought a rn4072 penstyle ecig from mypvshop..yuppers, that was my baby...I had found bliss!

After a little more reading, I got into into mixing my own ejuice...is it called DIY? do it yourself eh? I bought half a gallon of unflavored 36mg ejuce from my freedom smokes...bought my flavoring from perfumers apprentice..im a happy mixer...

Now, I have upgraded to a joy ego from cignot...OH MY FRIGGN STARS<<<<wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyhoo, I couldnt have done this by myself...

I have had the help from my cousin, from the ecf forum, the wonderful posters here, from my pvshop, my freedom smokes, cignot, and perfumers apprentice.

I just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH<<<<and my copd? yeah i still have it, but my pulm doc and family doc both are very proud of me...they say that over the years my copd will progress, however, by not smoking that I can slow it down..and guess what? ive been able to stop taking spiriva and stop taking symbicort..tho i still use my quick inhaler from time to time...I would have been on oxygen therapy if I wouldnt have stopped smoking...

eta( I hope ive posted this in the right place, if not, then mods? by all means move me)

Congrats!!! I am approaching 2 months. I use an Inferno now but as a 60 day reward I ordered a Leo. It comes in tomorrow but I can't use it for two more days.

Congrats on you nearing the 2 months!

Ive heard about the infernos and I might have to look into those eh?

Hope your vaping journey goes well for you

CONGRATS! I'm excited to be able to post mine next May. Keep up the good work!

Thank you and ill keep my fingers crossed that all goes for you as well eh?

eta, just wanted to mention this, that even after a year of being smoke free, for the most part, i get no cravings, however, yesterday I had the strongest urge and craving for a ciggy? dont know where that came from, but it still happens to me every now and then eh?

of course, i vaped my head off and beat the urge lol

Congrats! Your story almost mirrors mine, except for the 1 year part. A guy at work was vaping an e-cig, i asked him about it and bought an overpriced mini-cig model from a local shop, and soon got frustrated with the performance. Went back to analogs for another 6 months, when for some reason i decided to google e cigs and came across this forum. Bought a 510 kit, then a few weeks later a 3.7 volt box mod which i'm very happy with and my current pv.
