I narrowed to the same two, and had trouble deciding. I ended up getting the SVD and love it. Probably will get a VAMO too one of these days - especially since I just bought a stand that has room for 2 mods.

I don't buy clone clearomizers from fasttech, but when something is a named brand (like the SVD), I trust that's what I'm going to get, and I've ordered several times from them - including my SVD. And excellent batteries, and a charger - all well known brands (Innokin, Panasonic, Nitecore) - total about $70. Not trying to talk you out of buying local - just pointing out that fasttech doesn't LIE about brands - they just ALSO sell some lower quality knockoffs.

Either one - ENJOY THE VAPE!

I was thinking of getting these from myvaperstore.com. Seems they have top notch stuff. I tend to stay away from fast tech from pas experiences with crappy off brand tanks and clearos.

Any of you have a vendor in mind?

My observation only.
Vamo- get the vamo v3 stainless. Solid build uses the older tube with the newer chipset. Nice having a 3 button operation, making adjustments easier. (Will be picking one up)

Evic- currently using one, all around good unit. Bought it for all the functions on the computer, have yet to actually use it. At times I feel it lack the extra 1volts. Not too often though.

SVD- I likes the unit when it first came out but they changed the telescoping thread and now it's does not sit as nice and tight as the original. Also not a fan of the one button operation for the menu function.

Provari- :))) WOW... With the quality of this unit, I have learned to adjust and tolerate the one button operation. So much that I just ordered the mini.

Hope this helps and by all means I'm not an expert... Just what my thoughts are and what I look at.

Other options
Sigelei zmax
Skoktech zmax
Itaste MVP
Mechanical mods

Yeah I've researched all those. Want something I can change watts, volts and read resistance. Zmax caught my eye but didn't hear much on them to give me a warm feeling hence why I came up with the two I'm debating over. Lol

I got the ss vamo 3 from fast tech with 2 pani 18650 nightcore charger $56 shipped

and it has been great 1st mod checks ohm VW is nice, vapes well
for the money it was a great buy

From what I read in various posts (cant confirm)
they both use the same chip
Again cant confirm but Believe ive read posts that state adaptor would be needed for T3's and evods with SVD but I could be wrong

Vamo 3 for me was just the best price for a first mod
I figure I can put any money I would have spent with another model towards a top mod in the future like a provari or a reo if I decide to go that route

I've got 3 Vamo SS and they have been excellent with no problems at all. I just ordered the SVD from FT also as I think the connection threads may be better. I like to change flavors frequently throughout the day so I wanted several PVs to just pick up a different one in stead of changing clearos. The Vamo and SVD are both nice since they have both 510 and ego threading and I don't have to mess with adapters to put on T3s or Evods.

Evic has a lot of electronics and brains so to say for a pv. I've learned that the more complex the more things can go wrong.

There are a lot of good talk about myvaperstore.com though. They have both the vamo and SVD. I'm on the edge. I wish I could just get both. Haha

I was going to say....how about one of each. I don't own an SVD so I can't give you an opinion. I do have a SS Vamo V3 and it works very well and seems very sturdy, I have dropped it once on a tile floor and once on the driveway and .....it lives..with no problems. (By the way....I'm not really clumsy, first time it got knocked off the kitchen counter, second time my niece's crazy Great Dane knocked it out of my hand). :)

I've heard a lot about the SVD being real sturdy feeling. To whom talked about the evic, I saw that and discouraged myself since it involves me plugging into computer and what not. Want something simple as far as APV is concerned.

Thanks for the comments. I look forward to more as the time comes to urge me to buy the one of the two.

Doesn't get any simpler than the Vamo. I love mine. I will probably get an SVD at some point, but getting the Vamo first was a decision I don't regret.

As far as the Provari (just my opinion), I would love to have one too. But, my guess is that they will be coming out with a new model that has VW as well as VV soon. I will wait till then. I hope they do anyway.

In my opinion... Get a provari and you will save money in the long run and have pv of quality and durability.

Y'all are slipping. This thread went three pages before the first serious recommendation.

To the OP: You can't go wrong with either of those two mods. Close your eyes and pick one. You'll be delighted with it.

I actually got my SVD from Fasttech. They are Genuine Innokin SVD's, they are NOT clones. I paid $67 for the SVD, a pair of batteries and a good charger.

NOTE: this was NOT the "Full SVD Kit" that contains the 2 iClear 30's. It was what Innokin calls the "Express Kit".

I almost got the SVD just to add to my collection. I have a vamo V3 SS and have loved it. I also just got a 134 which is a better looking piece.

Some don't like the coiled look of the Vamo. I happen to really like it. I ordered another Vamo V3 that is the blacked version. I easily stack 2 X 18350s in my current one and I am curious about stacking 2 X 18650... try that with a telescoping mod. I prefer the Oled display and even ordered another motherboard to play with.

Either way both are solid devices from all I have read and you will be happy. I have a MVP v2 that will be here in a few weeks to augment my old MVP.

The only real complaint I have with Innokin devices is the 3 hit power button. I tend to accidentally turn off my devices all the time.

Now I am just waiting on the new kid on the block from Innokin... looks like fun except for the limited tank diameter possible.
