Shorts in the winter sounds great LD but I can't take the extreme summer heat or the snakes, alligaters, lizards, parmetto bugs etc. etc.

I can't take the Palmetto Bugs either. I've learned to kill them before they get in. ;-) As for the heat, I can deal with 3 months of hot vs. the 6 months of Winter (9 in Maine). I have a bad back now. I blame the snow.

Hinsdale. I work in Keene. I didn't realize until a little while ago you and Modrod were so close. Usually I see a NH vaper online and they're over in Manch/Nashua/Derry/etc

I lived in Richmond for several years. Have ex-relatives in Hinsdale.

I'm with Fran, eff the cold and snow. I've lived in NH most of my life (with a short stint in CT) and snow just sucks no matter when it shows up. lol

@Killjoy Nice to see more NH vapers. Fran beat me to the question. lol

@Bov I know what you mean with your heating situation. Our house is the same way. One thermostat for the whole house and our bedroom gets hot year round (like 80+ hot). We keep the AC running all year to regulate the temp in the bedroom. Otherwise it would be like sleeping in a hot tub (not in a good way).

LD I lived in Maine for 5 years myself, ex hubby worked at the now decommissioned nuke plant (Maine Yankee) in Wiscasset. We lived in Woolwich, just east of the Bath shipyards.

I lived in Raymond. I worked at the semiconductors while I was there. I loved the Old Port in the Summer. 3 months out of the year, I loved it there.

I like the first few storms as well....especially "snow days" for the kids, but after that it's "come on April!"

Well for us we are usually waiting for the end of May, we've even gotten some snow in June! And they do not have snow days here. In the 13 years we have lived here the school has only closed once, the roads were wet and the tempature dropped to negative thirty something very quickly and the roads were covered with black ice.

Yep it's a nice place. We rented a motel room. The beach was 10 ft. from the sliding door. Room sucked but the location was fantastic.

I lived right on Hamptom Beach for a summer. It was cool but I quickly learned that "beach" in South Florida and "beach" in New Hampshire have two very different meaning, even on the hottest day I don't see how people can get in that cold water! Our lake is even warmer in the summer time!

Well, FranC, the snow hit you long before it hit here. Just started within the last hour or two, didn't even notice when.

There it is, the first snow of this season. It can feel free to stop at any time, now

I don't mind my ocean cold during the heat of summer ;-) I was in Myrtle Beach a few years ago in June for a seminar and couldn't believe how warm that water was! Sure, it was nice, but didn't do much to cool me off

I had a solid layer of dewfall on my windshield the other day. Woe, woe is me.

I had this condensation all over my vehicle this morning. I had to hit the windshield wipers to clear it. Luckily, I have one of those rear windshield wipers or I would have had to get out of the car and clear off the back myself. It was like 64 this morning. I could have froze to death! It's okay though. The high was like 80 today, so it was warm enough to melt it all.
