J-118 Atomizer replacement is different.

Hello all,

After a year of following the E-Cig which I believed to be a passing fad, I finally gave in and bought a set a couple of weeks ago from a local smoke shop. Probably not the best idea, but oh well.

The issue I am having specifically is the atomizer. That is, being a heavy smoker myself (pack a day) the atomizer on the j-118 model I purchased is going to be in need of replacement soon, and I found a site that had pretty cheap ones, though not in a white color, but superficialness means nothing to me. The function however on the ones I recieved seems to be a little off.

That is, when I put the new atty in, it seemed to be getting a lot of air rather then vapor, I thought perhaps this was just a 'breaking it in' issue, and kept trying it, but just kept giving me more and more air.

So I took it out and tried to figure out what the problem was, I found that at the base of the central...screw thingy (Im sorry I forget what its called there are two holes at the base, and they seem to be letting more air in.

Is there a way to plug these up or anything? Did I order the wrong model, in spite of the fact the cartridges fit just fine, and it screws just fine into the battery and all three colors are emblazoned with a gold "J-118" along the side?

Thank you for any feedback!

Hmmm...
I'm unfamiliar with the model you're speaking of. I know that with the KR808, I have little holes (for venting I suppose) between the battery and cartomizer. I saw some fella recommend taping them with skotch tape to get a better vape. I tried it and at the time it did seem to make a little bit of difference.

Hopes this helps!
