I have just received my Ego C. It's came today after I ordered yesterday which was very good.

I received 2 in one box which I didn't expect.

One of them is working fine. I read the instructions and set it up. No problem.

However the other one is not working. There seems to be an air flow problem somewhere within the cone and the little screw in part where the atomizer sits. I think the parts are called atomizer cone and atomizer cone base. On the one that works I take a pull and I can hear air rushing through. But on the other one there is nothing. No air flow. It's like trying to suck a pea through a straw.

Do I have a faulty parts or is this a common problem that can be fixed? I don't want to have to send it back as I will be without and don't want to go back to smoking the real things again.

Sorry Matt, I'm not able to help as I've never used the ego C type atomisers. I think most folks prefer using cartomisers or clearomisers with their eGo batteries.

If it's definately the cone base, I'd get in touch with the vendor & aske for a replacement. Where did you buy it from?

this might help.
put the atomizer on the base, screw the cone cap onto the base and snug it up. Push your tank onto the atomizer head-firmly-and give it a twist, this will pierce the tank bottom. remove the tank from the cone and pop the bottom cover off the tank (this is difficult, get a small screw driver and use some force) one you pop the end cap off from the tank, you'll see a small tab of plastic around the puncture site, (where you pierced the hole on the atomizer head) remove that small plastic tab. Pop that plastic base back on the tank. "make sure it snaps firmly back on-very important
Fill your tank up with your favorite ejuice through the hole with a syringe. push the filled tank back through the cone and onto the atomizer head. twist it 360 degrees and make sure it is seated well. Now screw the cone assembly onto the ego battery, but NOT TO TIGHT. you need to make sure air is flowing around the contact point. If you screw it down to tight, air flow is resticted or impeded completely....."sucking a pea through a straw". back off the pressure on the cone assembly, but make sure the base is backing off the battery and not the cone backing off the base!!:)
Hope this helps!!!! I presume you have tested the batteries with other cartos or attys to make sure the battery is working correctly, right?

I bought it from totaleliquid.co.uk.

It's not a major deal as I know the cone base wouldn't be a lot to replace... And it's not like i'm left with nothing to vape as I have another which is working fine. It's just a bit of a pain to have one that I can't use. I actually wanted to give the second one to a work college for the day to try it out.

I will email the company as they have so far been very helpful and see what they can offer me. I just didn't know if there was a simple solution, maybe a common blockage or something I could fix myself.

Thanks for the post. However the problem isn't to do with the liquid or anything else apart from the cone and the cone head. It's hard to explain.

Without doing anything else. These 2 parts are screwed together. On the one that works I can take just those 2 parts, put them to my mouth and suck... air runs through smoothly. However, with the one that is not working when I assemble just these 2 parts and try to suck, there is no airflow.
This is how I know it is a problem with the cone base.

Does that make sense? lol

After close inspection I have found that there are no air holes on the defective Atomizer cone base. Which would explain why I can't get a 'drag' from it. It's obviously a manufacturing fault. I have emailed the website I bought it from to see if they can offer anything as I do not want to send the entire thing back for repair or replacement.

A lot of online places in the States will send out a replacement right away free of charge where you can continue to use your good ego until you receive the replacement, then send it back. If they don't receive the item back within 30 days, they'll charge you for the second ego. Make sure you get a pre-paid postage label, or that they refund the shipping charge you incur to send it back.

Hi matt, I hope it all works out good for you. I have been very happy with my Joyetech ego-c and never had the problem you discribe.
Please be careful and look very carefully where you buy. Ecf is a good place to look for vendors.

I had to do this also, otherwise I may get dry hits. Very bad design from Joyetech. Joyetech, are you listening?
