Wow, I can see I've missed a lot on this thread since I first poked my head in here the end of June. I didn't read everything but enough to see that some people are having some issues with Jacs. I'm happy to report that mine is still going strong. Some scratches on my battery door and on the finish around my screen but nothing I can't live with. It's still my number one that I reach for. Good to know also that Jac Vapour seems to be on top of it when there are problems, I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Jac Vapour is amazing, in all respects, and for as many of us who've taken the plunge for this device, I see actually very few probs.

The clear wrap is settling nicely, as the 3M stuff always does. I still prefer the naked feel ( ) but am pleased with the work. I'm getting used to the feel of it now, and I like it.

Once my original gets very "distressed", I'll cover it with a patterned wrap, especially after seeing Kat's fancy-schmancy zebra one.

All in all, I couldn't be more pleased. This device has become my new standard-bearer (for lack of a better term).

But you know what they say about opinions...

One of our 2 JAC's developed a very slight side-to-side movement of the batt door. Both were tight when we got them. My solution ... I swapped mine (w/ loose door) with my wife's. Problem solved. She's not OCD about little quirks like this.

I'm hoping my 2nd does it, so I can have first hand experience. That's one of my reasons for using it now. The first has been flawless (so far).

Does this imply a DIY fix? Is it that the magnets move in their slots? I recall all the talk about 'painting' the batts in case they come out. But don't remember a 'fix' for a loose door.

Yes (I think). It appears that this is related to loose magnets (although I'm speaking outside of personal experience). @JUMA55 removed the originals with Silly Putty (still loving THAT), and @Bronze used a micro driver (magnetic, I'm sure).

Numerous folks have reported numerous fixes, any of which I'm sure are great.

I, for one, can't wait to use the Silly Putty again (thanks, JUMA!). In the meantime I'm not making a lot of funny-paper prints.

Right now it reads .66 ohms @ 22 watts and TC @ 425. Any idea what the locked resistance is for? Enjoy the eclipse.

Unless you have a very unstable atty, Evolv doesn't recommend locking resistance. They 'refine' resistance as you vape. I've never locked resistance on any of the DNAs I've owned. Never figured out what 'refining' resistance is either.

Mike, I believe @ENAUD had a fix. He used some sort of tape, or a band-aid, or a paperclip or something. (nah, wasn't a paperclip)

Since my own magnet repair (SHARPIE!!), my doors are uber tight without a wiggle in site.

But I like your fix the best!!

I used a piece of Scotch tape for my Scottish Jac
I ran the tape along the outside of the door so just a sliver shows, like 1/16 inch, and wrapped it around the edge into the inside of the door...snug as a bug in a rug now.
