Yeah maddcatt1, it is made for a 510 atomiser.

Actually, the Mega Cart is ONLY for the Mega Atty..
Will NOT work on the normal 510 atty.

Just so you don't go buying the Mega cart and reg 510 atty. I know someone who did, now they are PO'ed at who ever told them that. LOL

*raises hand* I have a question! Can you compare the flavor between your eGo and a normal 510? To me, the 510 has little to no flavor compared to my M401.

Hi DarK,
I have the eGo too and as for flavor comparasion to the 510, it produces BETTER flavor than the 510 as the atty cover keeps the atty a bit warmer and less air so you DO get better flavor than the 510. I have been using my eGo for a week (until my USB cable broke). The flavors I have used are the EcoPure, Waffle, French Toast, Plum, Banana, Pineapple and a few others and the flavor are just better IMHO and I won't use my 510 anymore.
I hope this helps.

I am new to vaping, bought the EGo as my first PV... so my opinion isn't worth much. However, I am still using the same battery going on about 18 hours now. I think it doesn't produce a whole lot of vapor, but again.. my first try at vaping so I am sure I am totally off on this. I have found that the throat hit is enough to keep me off analogs, which was my goal. I have found it to be a bit cumbersome because if it's weight - it is bottom heavy, and a bit hard to handle while driving. But, again... I am used to analogs and I know PV's are a different feel.

If I wanted to get another PV (I am already thinking of starting a collection of these things!!) What would everyone reccomend? I have heard the Joye 510 is the fave.. any others?

Essentially, you are now using a 510. All you would need to do is add a regular 510 battery and a charger since you have the atomizer already. Buy a VaporKing for something new, Vapor4Life:: Because it's your life :: Electronic Cigarettes & Alternatives to Smoking The upside to that is that you can also buy a cheap 510 to KR808 adapter at CigTech and also use the cartomizer on the EGO when you want.

I've read that you can use a 510 atomizer with an eGo, but you cannot use an eGo atomizer with a 510. Anyone know for sure?

I have questions, please. My background: I'm still smoking and I found this forum looking for reviews for e-cigs. I bought the cheap Eluma starter kit and received it today. It's like sucking slightly flavored air through a hard, uncomfortable straw, and I smoke ultra lights.

My questions:

1) Please tell me that my experience with the Eluma is not typical for e-cigs.

2) The Janty site states that the eGo comes with an eGo/Dura atomizer. Does this mean that it also uses Dura carts?

3) If both the eGo and the Dura use the same atomizer and cartridge system, does that mean that the only difference between them is the battery? Or am I missing something?

4) Is the cartridge as large in diameter as a normal cigarette? I smoke slims, so I found the Eluma (which IS as large in diameter) very uncomfortable.

Thanks, y'all! I really appreciate the information and discussion that y'all have here. I started developing serious smoker's hack a few months ago. I switched to an even lighter ultra light, and that helped for a while, but now the hack is back. I've been smoking for 21 years now. It's time to stop, but I need help.

so, 1st megacart seemed dry. and i was able to fill 19 drops in, opposed to the 13 i fill the normal 510 carts with.

checked with pure water in an empty megacart, and its nearly full with 19 drops.

for me the carts hold 33% more juice and not 50%, and i have no clue why it was necessary to make the carts incompatible to the current atomizers.

but still, its a nice addtion for the eGo and megabatts.

@~Jo~, yes its only the batterie that differs, and the vapor is in my opinion a bit warmer, more aromatic, but thats a personal opinion.

other than that, don't search for a slim cigarette like e-cig, it can only be unsatisfying.
the 510/Dura is 9mm wide.
most people order their 1st e-cig cigarette alike and are later vaping the biggest mods. . . . or at least a Dura/510.

Jo, the eGo and the Dura are all 510s, which is a very common type of PV. The eGo has or rather is just another kind of battery with a cool cover. (No offense intended, just trying to keep it simple.)

The diameter of the 510 is 0.9 cm, which is very close to a regular analog cigarette. Anything smaller than a 510 usually produces rather little vapour, as seems to be the case with your kit. There are however flat carts (mouthpieces where the liquid is in) for 510s, those might make you feel somewhat more comfortable.

Thank you both very much. I bit the bullet and ordered an eGo.

What exactly does it mean that a device is a 510? I see everyone tossing out numbers in addition to brand names, but I have no clue what information I'm supposed to glean from those numbers, and didn't find it explained on the newbie pages.

Alex (or anyone else), could you possibly point me in the right direction for purchasing flat 510 carts? (And thanks for keeping it simple. Simple is really good right now.)

I've also seen some people talk about carts being larger or smaller and therefore holding more or less. Should all 510 carts hold roughly the same amount, or does that vary even among compatible devices?

Thanks again!

To jade:
I use The Copper, from AtmosUSA as my 24/7 vape. Not only is that battery mod the best in my opinion, but all I do is tote around 1 set of backup batteries (rechargeable cr2's last a good 6-8 hours for a heavy vaper) and a 5ml bottle of juice to tailpipe drip. Some days I might carry a second dropper bottle and atomizer for a different flavor of juice.

I'm pondering buying one of the new super light mini models based off the M40x series to have as a backup and additional showpiece, only because the newer personal charging cases are very nice and streamlined. From my research the Revolvercig brand seems to do the best job of importing the lastest models from China and modding/tailoring them to US customers. They sell a super mini and a 501 based model, and both of them come with a cig pack case that fits in your pocket while it charges holds and charges spare batteries as well as your fully assembled ecig.
You could always order these types of batteries yourself straight from China.
