Mine is coming at the end of May. I'm really excited about the Stick and plan on making it my away-from-home PV. The biggest selling point is the cheap non-proprietary battery. ($3 or less ) Also, all 801 attys seem to fit. For $80 you can get 100 blank carts and 10 801 attys from BestECig. That should last quite some time. I just hope the liquid is attainable for quite some time.

I have some questions for current owners. Has this become your away-from-home PV? If so, how do you like the battery life?

The battery life is good. About twice as long as I get from a standard pen-style. The nice thing is I plug it into the USB port on my keyboard at work twice a day for 45 minutes or so and I never have to change the battery. It will last all day, for me, by doing this. If I vape on it while it is plugged in I let it charge a little longer. The red LED lights up when plugged into the USB and turns off when fully charged.

801 atomizers work great on it as it was designed for them. I have had one atomizer that was a tight fit but do not know if it was sold has an 801, RN4072, or BE-112 or another. I've bought too many at this point to keep track of what atomizer came from where. Even with the tight fit it performed well and I was able to unscrew it. I do not think it is a cause for concern.

In post #1, KK's star ratings say:

Battery Charge Time...***** (3 to 4 hour charge time)
Battery Life..........***** (heavy vaping, battery life 24 hours and 45 minutes)

I had already noticed the anomaly, someone else has already said "4 hours"... can we clarify this - am I misunderstanding?

I can't speak to his experience with the stick but I don't get 24 hours unless I charge it twice throughout the day for 45 minutes or so. Charge time also takes only an hour to an hour and a half on the charger and 45 minutes to an hour if charged while in the stick. vaping while charging of course changes that time.

When I received the Janty Stick from Jeff he said the battery was fully charged and ready to go. I started vaping at 9:00PM and went to bed around 11:30PM. I got up at around 8:00AM and started vaping. The battery died at 9:40PM. "Chronologically" the same battery was in the Janty Stick for 24 hours and 45 minutes. Did I vap through the night? No cuz my wife would not have been a happy camper - got to stay out of the doghouse. So I was awake and using the Janty Stick for 16.2 hours. Did I have the Janty Stick glued to my hand vaping every second of the 16.2 hours - no. I would probably have found myself in the hospital but I do consider my self a heavy user. This battery is a strong performer and way out last my 901, Dura, Kissbox, and anything else I have in my stash. The first charge I did took between 3 to 4 hours on a completely dead battery. The other battery with a little charge left in the battery took considerably shorter time average 1.5 hours. Every charger and battery is different even though it is manufactured by the same company. All electronics have a manufacturing tolerances, a high and low value for what is acceptable. Throw in about 20 different components and the charge with will vary with each unit. Now add the differences in construction of batteries. Ever had a new battery, out of a new pack only last 1/2 as long as the last battery you just used. I fly for a living and my headset uses "AA" batteries and I am supposed to get 50 hours of usage but the last "new" pair of batteries I put in only lasted for 30 hours, almost cut my time in half.
I am going to give an update next week on the charger and batteries because I wanted the charger and batteries to normalize after consistent usage. After usage the electronics in the charger, resistances in the PC boards and resisters, have had have had a chance to burn in and settle down. The batteries have been able to go through multiple charges and discharges. The battery being used with the Janty Stick is cheap and it packs a punch. The last time I looked I believe a replacement battery for the Janty Stick was running $3.20. The power to cost ratio is the best I have ever seen.

I understood exactly what you meant, KK, but the 4 hours declared by others is so way out  Are they using the same batteries, I wonder?

I'm really looking forward to your "long-term" review and I'm grateful for the time you're giving us :)

The only worries I have about the Stick, in the form it will be despatched, are the thin mouthpiece of the Classic cart, the too-easy (for me, accustomed as I am to 901) draw, and the lack of hit I associate with the Classic from my brief experience of a cheap generic.

If I can't get used to my Stick, maybe I shall offer it to Alain in France ;)

I feel the same about the mouthpiece and lack of hit. I've never had Janty Classic, but I assume it is the same as 801. While so many love it, I was getting so much better hit with 901, and now 510, that I don't want to go back to 801. But they announced adapters for both 901 and 510, so I am hoping to order the stick when the adapters become available.

A small story how an idea can become a real product.
(and about Janty really listen to the costumer)

knutselpeter-albums-stick-history-picture1182-stick-01.jpg

In this picture you can see how things can go.
Nr 1, was my idea about the ideal e-cigarette.
Not at all looking like a cigarette en easy to put in a pocket.
And for better performance an manual switch.
I made this almost 2 years ago for personal fun.
Very soon I got responses from many e-smokers and from one manufacturer.
Then everything started to get better and some new products were developed with a little help from me. (like the KISS box sets etc.)

Nr2, the first STICK test version made in the factory in China.
Just a study about how small it could be and how it should function.

N3, A small series was made so a small group could test it in real live.
(more about this test later)

Nr4, The Final product.

knutselpeter-albums-stick-history-picture1183-stick-02.jpg

In this picture a little 1st test about the place for the LED's
and were to put the manual switch etc.
The complete Stick is handmade by engineers in the
Janty factory in presence of European developer and testers.

Her you can see (a little) inside the Stick.
The transparent one is one of the test series that was made,
for a small group of testers.
One of the results en of the test
was the weak construction of the battery Lid.
After a few battery changes, the Lid made bad contact.

knutselpeter-albums-stick-history-picture1185-stick-04.jpg

Here you can see how they solved the problem and made a much stronger an durable construction.

For myself I do not have to change the battery during the day,
I carry a small "USB to MiniUSB" plug with me and can
recharge the battery in many places.
With the power of every USB port from any PC
With the 12V to USB car plug
With a 230V to USB home plug
With a Solarpower charger or a USB powerpack.

Thanks for that information, knutselpeter. I credited you not long ago as being the inspirational father of the JantyStick. I've had one for more than a week now, and it's a tremendous device. As soon as I saw the Stick, I thought of your original Kissbox concept -- the box.

Thanks for all your innovations for e-smoking and, like many, I look forward to what you come up with next!

Still loving it, FranklySpeaking. I, too, have found nothing to dislike.

I still like my Kissbox, however. I carry it in a lanyard that I always have around my neck, and seem to reach for it more easily than fishing the JantyStick out of a pocket. But they are both superb e-devices. Numbers 1 and 2 in my experiences.

I Like The Transparent Test Model!

Now If We Can Get Janty To Flip The USB Connector Over or Put It On The Bottom of The Stick We Would Really Be Rockin!

~Keep Vapin~

I believe the connector is just in the best place right now. If you put it on the bottem, the weight of the Stick is more on the USB port on the computer (if you use a same kind of plug as I do) With the weight concentrated veru close to the USB connector is could do no damage at all.

Thank You for the compliments, but do not forget the money and time Janty was willing to put in the development of some of my ideas.
Not only the payed twice to fly me over to China so I could explain and build what was in my mind, but also lots of costs in making moulds etc.
My thanks goes really to them for believing in my ideas.
So I can be a really happy e-smoker now

Man the more I keep staring at the janty stick the more I want one. the main problem i have with the jantystick is it is a bit pricey but if you think about it it would save a lot in the long run. does anyone have any idea to how long the jantystic will last. And is there a development on longer lasting atomizers. this habit really does cost me more than analogs....its crazy.

Ya But Since They Do Not Provide A Mini-USB Right Angle USB Connector With It And I Have Right Angle Mini-USB Connectors (They Face The Other Way). I Do Not Like How The Cable Comes Out Of The Stick, Its Awkward. I Have My Own Sticks (Cell-Stick) I Built So I Know What It Is Like.

I Think The Existing Mini-USB Cable & Location of The Mini-USB Port Is Akward and Can Be Improved Easily. As For The Weight / Pulling The Cord Thats Crap, They Can Easily Build It To Support It With A Little More ABS or Whatever They Are Using. If Anything The Current Design Will Cause Damage Easily.

Speaking Of Building & Design They Should Have Gone With The Micro-USB Connector Which Is The Newer Updated Standard Due To The Mini-USB Port Connectors Get Weak & Loose the Connection Easily... Also The Micro-USB Is Readily Available & Getting More & More Common On Better Devices.

Just My Opinion. I Am Not Patting Myself On My Back... :D
