dont try and split the difference.. just add up the total of what the product costs.. thats what u pay..

paypal are in a position of power so are ebay.. ebay charges are the worse.. paypal bad but not too bad.. paypal is in charge thow.. and they dont like a seller making a buyer pay their charges.. but nothing comes free so it has to be clawed back somehow..

only one thing drives down prices.. competition.. perhaps someone is feeling the effects of it.. i doubt price drops are done out of kindness.. it would be a rare business if it did work that way..

every one and his dog is now selling e cigs..

You pay your money and make you choice, but it's not cool to be charged something you shouldn't be

its all in the mind... 30 dollars total... 20 for the product five for the paypal fee five for the shipping..

30 dollars total... 30 for the product nothing for the paypal fee nothing for the shipping..

i could add a few more variations on a theme but it would all come to 30 dollars or whatever u end up paying..

its the end figure that counts... thats all...

So if you go into a store, and the owner confirms the price, you ask 'are then any hidden taxes or charges or anything else I need to pay' and the store owner says no they have been stopped, and you get to the checkout and a surcharge goes on, you think thats fine?

did i say that.. no i did not say that.. it should all be made clear before the product is picked up or the buy button is pressed..

but if the product even with hidden extras is worth buying.. whine a bit but still buy it..

but in your quoted instance u are being directly lied to.. wrong but not exactly unusual from some salesmen...

but lied to or not if the product is a bargain i would still buy it... but i expect sales people to be economical with the truth.. to me its normality..

so.. it appears to be wrong.. but the seller in question does seem to be dropping prices in general.. and my point about the total price u pay being the important thing still holds..

if i buy a chinese watch costing me ten pounds from DX with free postage or the same watch for two pounds with eight pounds postage.. it still costs me ten pounds...

should i worry... ??

Yes you are correct, you make a decision about purchase based on the cost to your door, but my posts here are about the dropping of the paypal surcharge being untrue. 4 Euros isnt a big deal for a larger order and I did pay it.

Janty have either failed to update their shop to reflect this announcement and therefore it shouldnt have been posted, or it is a lie and again shouldnt have been posted. Either way it's not cool.

sending out extra carts to cover the charge if i remember correctly was one thing they used to do..

seems a daft way to me.. if the paypal fees bother them get it back in a more sensible way.. i think its about 4% but paypal is a must so it has to be paid..

paypal is now just too easy and too universal.. they make their own rules...

when we sold SDs on ebay.. paypal and ebay between them collared nearly 12 quid.. think how much money they are making... unimaginable figures i would guess..
