Japanese cotton in Kayfun...can't get it right.

Hey there, wondering if anybody has any suggestions. I've had a kayfun Lite for months now and can get a pretty consistent/satisfying vape with 3/32, 28gauge, 1.4 ohm micro coil with organic cotton. I've read so many good things about the KGD pads and have tried a couple builds. I just can't get the same density or vapor production as with the organic cotton. I've tried changing the size/density of the wicks and going down to a 5/64 bit as well. Still can't seem to get the KGD to wick properly. (air flow seems to tighten up as well.

Anybody have any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I don't have any suggestions as I haven't used that yet. However, Phil Brusardo's comparison of organic cotton, KGD, hemp and rayon was pretty interesting. It seems that the KGD has the best wicking of all 4.

I just rewicked the rm2 with organic cotton for the first time and had a heck of time getting it to stay saturated at first. Have you watched some youtube vids on kayfun build with KGD? I think you have to let it break it a little bit and make sure you saturate before the wick during the build.

Literally from all the picture posts and videos. People seem to get great success a dozen different ways. I think I tried them all in the same day and got a burnt taste or poor draw, etc. I finally started doing it like Rip Tripper in the first half of this video.

Haven't had any issues since. I was seriously thinking I had some kind of learning disability or was missing some form of special magic. Lol In regards to the KGD, I separate it down the middle so I have two sheets. Then cut it with the grain a little wider than the coil. You will get it, but I understand.
