Jesus Plus Nothing

My small group has been reading a wonderful book called "Jesus Plus Nothing" by Tim Timmons. I recommend it to all. It's a wonderful book about stripping your faith down to its core: following Jesus. I won't go into anything more about it but it's worth picking up a copy.

Your post reminded me of that precious teenage girl at Columbine sitting with her friends in the library. One of the monsters asked if anyone was a Christian, and she stood up and told them she was. He killed her on the spot. So, what are we when we're stripped down to the core? It's easy to 'say' we would do the same. But even Peter denied Jesus 3 times. All I can say is I pray that Jesus grants me the courage that this precious soul was granted. 'You will be with me this day in Paradise.'
