From everything I've read/seen, they look like a nice mech... but without one in my hand, can't say if they're worth $235 & up. Have you seen one in person yet? :)

I'm waiting to get more information on this Fakirs from Turkey. Probably a cheaper device, but interesting never the less.

There are just way too many cool mechs, from technologically and industrially interesting places, to keep track of. ;-)

I'm looking for another mod, and the JM22 caught my eye. Brass contacts, SS tubes, I imagine that they hit well. I don't see many up in the classies, so I'm thinking that the people that are buying them are liking them. How are you all liking your JMs? Any quibbles?

I owned a JM22 for a few months. Good little mod that worked well and looked good doing it.

- It hits just as hard as any other mod with brass contacts.
- Battery rattle is easy to alleviate although sometimes you have to re-adjust the positive pin a bit after a day or two as some side to side battery rattle will start happening.
- The negative post would come loose on me every so often, and always at the most inopportune time. I fixed this by putting the smallest dab of super glue on the threads of the neg contact screw, letting it dry fully, then screwing it into the switch housing.
- The lock ring is easy to operate, although would be better if it was reverse threaded, as sometimes I would unintentionally unscrew the switch instead of operating the lock ring.

Not really much else to say. I let mine go because I replaced it with a Paps SS v2.5, and I got a Poldiac in trade for the JM22.

Wow...that thread got ugly real fast...yikes. Glad I'm here and not there.

I haven't seen one in person yet. I've only been able to find one US vendor for JM, and it's nowhere near me :(

I may just take a chance and order. I bought my Paps and Simplicity under similar circumstances, so hopefully it turns out just as well :p

Will be following that Fakir thread.

Thanks!

Yeah... the children over at the 'VF' can get a bit rude at times. What's a mother to do? ;-)

I like to see how other countries approach vaping... those in particular that you seldom think about. You wonder what sort of mechs come out of South American countries, Eastern Europe... besides Russia that is, the Middle East, Africa, Japan etc etc etc.

If the Fakir worked well and wasn't big bux, I'd buy it just to be "the only kid on the block"... or, for that matter, or the state. :)

And now... back to our previously scheduled, JM22 interest programing.

I appreciate your thoughts on the JM. What do you think of it compared to your Paps? I have a 2.5SS and it's my benchmark mod--I love it. Thanks again for your thoughts :)

Me too! Greece and the Philippines have made a very good showing in the world of vaping. I find myself wondering what other countries have modding communities cranking out high quality mechs. Poland was not even on my radar until I read a post referencing the JM22.

It was nice to see Korea (my people) being well represented in the world of high end mods, even though I'm not particularly fond of how the mods look.

I'd love to see some Japanese and Scandinavian mods--I think their design philosophies could make for some super-sexy devices.

Paps wins hands down for many reasons. It looks better, It's a bit smaller for the same size battery, the overall fit and finish is better. The double telescoping + connection is a huge win, although I have been using it with a K lite & hybrid adapter as of late. Not to mention that button, oh my that glorious button. Owning a Paps 2.5 has ruined me for any other 22mm bottom button mechanical. It's just so smooth and easy to operate. As long as you keep it clean that is...

The day I got the Paps in was the day the JM went up for sale/trade. <--- I think that says it all right there...

Hahaha. I was wondering what you'd say about the button. The button on the Paps is amazing--it's ruined me too. Nothing else feels as good. I guess I'm waiting for the next batch of Paps Lux or the X (whenever its actually released). Thanks again!
