Hello, my name is Maxwell. I'm from Columbus, OH and I was raised in Saudi Arabia. This thread is mainly going to focus on my attempt at switching from filtered tobacco cigarettes to electronic cigarettes. I'm assuming it's going to be hard and mind numbing, but I'm optimistic, at the least. I still haven't ordered my kit as I'm still unsure of my choices. If anyone would like to give me advise, I fully welcome it. In any case, I thank anyone for helping try to alter/quit a 13 year habit!

It will be EASY if you get a decent setup. (Unfortunately, I don't know anything about shipping to Saudi Arabia, but I think there are some people here who can tell you about that...)

I quit a 42-year 2-pack-a-day smoking habit in ONE DAY when I got my first setup, and it wasn't even a really good one. If you get something that produces decent vapor and replaces the nicotine well enough, you shouldn't have any trouble. It's so easy, it almost feels like cheating! LOL!

HI @Maxwell Baker and welcome to the forum. Switching from cigs to vape will be easier than you believe. For me I was in shock for the first two weeks after I switched because it WAS easy. You will need a few things. 1. Proper nicotine level (determined by how many you smoked and the type -full, lights etc..) 2. Decent gear really helps. (iStick 30 watt mod/battery and Aspire Nautilus Mini tank most recommended on the forum for mouth to lung vape beginners) 3. A flavor you will enjoy vaping. (best advice here is to visit a local vape shop and sample the flavors, since you are in SA you might have to resort to buying sample packs of flavors where you can find them) 4. Desire to quit the cigs.

I do not know the laws concerning Saudi Arabia but we do have an arabic language section where you might find info : العربية

The only supplier I have heard about in the Middle East is -Dubai - Emirates Vape
China
www.fasttech.com (2 week delivery)
www.heavensgifts.com

Good luck in your journey, it's easier than you think.

Welcome @Maxwell Baker!

I saw your post title, and it caused a slight tic

Not sure how to assist with the overseas issues, but vaping is as simple or as difficult as you want to make it. (I would say start SIMPLE!!!!!)

Check out the following: Baditude's blog | E-Cigarette Forum

This gentleman has been around the block a couple of times, and has some great information for newbies. Good reads on terminology and how to get started....

Good Luck to you!

Welcome Maxwell, congratulations and good luck on your journey to becoming a Former Smoker. I was able to quit cold turkey by using the e-Cigs Brand Cig-A-Likes. After a year and a half I decided on purchasing an iStick TC40W and a Nautilus Mini. I researched it on my own, asked and received recommendations here and worked with the guy at my local B&M Vape Shop before making my purchase. Just bear in mind when going from Cig-A-Likes to a MOD you will get more nicotine faster so I cut my nicotine level in half to start doing a mix of 1.8, 1.2 and .6 to achieve lower levels slowly.

Again Good Luck and remember when quitting it is OK to want one just don't have it.! :2c::2c:

Hey - welcome. While I mirror the sentiment here that switching is easy - i'd like to say that it requires some trial and error - and during that trial and error phase, it could be difficult. Definitely need the mind set and to take a 10 second pause after your vape session to realize that the "crave" has left before running to the analog. Also - make sure your nic level is sufficient in the beginning. if you are on the fence, err on the side of higher nic. try getting an assortment of nics when you start to figure out where you best land. There will be an upfront cost to all of this - but a couple of hundred bucks (in failed setups - wrong nic juices - etc...) is well worth the health benefits. Good luck!

Hi and welcome. I generally recommend an iStick 30 with an Aspire Nautilus tank for smokers trying to quit as this equipment is optimized for mouth to lung inhales, mimicking the act of smoking. I'm afraid I know nothing about restrictions in KSA. Good luck, and keep us informed of your progress. We are all in your side.
