Hi all,
I'm new here and i started smoking e-cigs yesterday and I think I already screwed my 2 atomizers because they both taste burn :(

1- the first one, I've noticed that under the coil there was something that looked like the foam of the cartridge, so I took it out. After that the smoke started to taste bad, like it was burn.

2- the 2nd, I had the my 510 in my pocket. In 1h the battery went dead, so probably it was on that hole hour and for that I think it burn the atomizer.

Can anyone tell me if there is anything I can do to fix the 2 atomizer so they don't have that burn taste???

You`re new so don`t take offense to this, but if you did what they suggested and you have a burnt taste, you probably just haven`t got enough juice on it yet. Keep dripping a few drops at a time and puffing, and it should go away. Mine always taste burnt after cleaning, until I get some vapor back in them.

I've tried that 2 times and it still has a burn taste... any other option?? Just to know, are the atomizers damaged?? Its really possible to take the burn taste out?

Did they taste burned from the beginning, or were they OK at first and began turning bad later.

If they tasted bad from the beginning, you may not have blown the primer out the atomizer before you used them. That happened to me and it tasted terrible.

If they started tasting bad later, your atomizer may be too dry. Try dripping a few drops of juice on the attomizer bridge and see if that helps.

Also, on one of them you said you removed something that looked like filler from under the bridge. That may have been the wick; I'm not sure what that might cause.

If you get a burnt taste, some of that taste may stay on the cartridge filler. Try sucking on the cartridge without the atomizer attached and see if you still get a bad taste.

Yeah, a completely cleaned and dry atomizer needs to soak up more juice than one that is already full of juice. There is a mesh that surrounds the coil pot and it holds quite a few drops of juice.

When my atomizer is completely dry, I usually put 4 drops on the bridge and let it soak in for about a minute, and then put in 2 or 3 more drops before I start using it again.

If you are using cartridges, you should probably put around 4 drops on the bridge and then attach your cartridge and let it sit for about a minute or so before using it.

Both atomizers were ok at the beginning. I will clean and refill one cartridge and put a few drop on the atomizer and see if it works.

I just hope the wick thing doesn't affect the atomizer... But its was there for a reason right...

I don't know, I really don't understand. I've tried all u guys said but the burn taste is still there. I Think I'll just another atty. Can you tell me some decent stores in europe to order an atty for a Joye 510 mini?

cOelhO,

Don't despair! There are forums that are specific to different regions of the planet that may be able to direct you to suppliers in your area.

Also, suck through your cartrige (by itself). Do you get a burnt taste? Maybe the taste resides in your cartrige and will be there even if your atomizer is OK. From what I've read here, if there is a burnt taste it will get into the filler of the cartrige, and you'll always get a burnt taste when using that cartridge. You might just need new cartriges or new cartridge filler to get rid of the burnt taste.

If you have a manual battery, place the atomizer on it and turn the battery on briefly. Turn the battery off, and smell what's coming out of the atomizer. Does it smell burnt? If so, there may be some "primer" that hasn't been removed, and it has a horrible taste. I wasn't aware that this primer neede to be removed (blown out) before the atomizer was used. As a result, I had a horrible burnt taste for days, and I was very discouraged. I've been putting my atomizers in a glass with about 1 inch of hydrogen peroxide solution (H2O2), and bringing them to a boil in the microwave several times, then blowing the out and letting them dry overnight. One of my atomizers is fine now, and the other is tolerable, with a slight burnt taste.

I've learned here that atomizers are expendable/consumable items that need to be replaced. Some posters get many months out of their atomizers, others don't. I've decided that it is important to have more atomizers than I need, and clean them regularly.

I'm new at this, so I'm not the last word. I just don't want you to be discouraged. There are poeple here who can help.
