Hello!

I'm looking to order my 1st e-cig today and I'm going with the Joye 510. My problem is that I'm not sure which one to get, automatic or manual. The starter kit I'm purchasing comes with 2 complete e-cigs. I might have the option to get one of each, but I thought I would ask all of you which is better.

Thanks!

Mojosato
My 510 came with 2 manuals, do like them, batty life short, but charge fast.
My112 came with one of each, so I compared, I much prefer the manual.

Good Luck

Manual are great...

Since you are still making choices you might consider going for a MP kit instead. The Mega Power 510 (which run about 4 hours) is the only way to go for a stock battery 510. Worth it IMHO!! The 1 hour standard battery is a PIA!!!

Totally Wicked sells the MP 510 kits (Joye product rebranded) or you can just purchase a few of the MP batteries to supplement the kit you buy later. TW has discount codes around too, so you might want to look for one if you decide to go that way. They sell the MP in both auto and manual.

Manual all the way... I posted a similar thread a little while back regarding issues with the automatic batteries. I have 8 automatic batteries in total (5 from a Totally Wicked Multi-Pack and 3 from CigNot) and I had issues with all of them where I would be taking a drag and it would cut out (led would go out) after anywhere between 2-4 secs. If it cut out after 4 sec it wasn't too bad but 2 sec is way too short. Seems to be a 510 thing because I had no issues with my DSE901 auto batteries.

I ended up buying the eGo/TORNADO batteries (which are manual only ATM) and cones from Totally Wicked and am completely happy now.

Also... if you haven't considered it the eGo/TORNADO is a great setup... I love it. I charge the batteries every night although there is plenty of power left after I've used it all day.

My manual batteries work better. Rather than activating too much, I sometimes find it hard to get one of my automatic batteries to work, but it's possible that's a defective battery. It will sometimes flutter and not work consistently. So far my manuals have been more or less consistent. I'd suggest getting a cheap manual passthrough from the get-go, as it can pad your initial experimentation with batteries and keeping them charged. 510 batteries will not last very long if you're constantly playing with your new toy.

i have both and seeing as i just quit smoking and started a e cig i like the round tips vs the whistle i and i have uses for both of the batteries such as right now i am using the auto since my hands arent free washing the dishes was the same thing (not reccomended). i wont e smoke again though after i about turned the e cig into a submarine in the dish water lol only thing that saved it was me smaking it on the floor in mid air with my ninja like reflexes lol. i like them both but the maual when your hands are free is the way to go for sure. the mauals are alot esier to hit and produce more vapor in a hit as far as i am concerned

You won't be disappointed by an auto battery.
Not to disagree, because there are plenty of people who like automatic batteries, and there are probably a number of people who actually had no trouble making them work from the very start.

But anybody who starts with an automatic battery very well MIGHT be dissapointed. They are far more difficult to make work properly, and it often takes quite a bit of practice. Sometimes it comes with a lot of frustration and juice in the mouth as well. I personally believe that automatic batteries are one of the top two or three reasons people give up or become disillusioned with electronic cigarettes.

As for me, I would NEVER be satisfied with automatic batteries because of the cutoff which prevents me from getting the long drags that I want. So even when I get to the point where I know how to make them work properly, I am still dissatisfied.

Having said all that, yeah, getting both is a good idea.
Especially if you were planning on only getting automatic batteries.
