I love my Joye 510! I started vaping two weeks before Christmas and no longer smoke analogs. I am so happy. I am having a bit of a problem lately with batteries. I have had about 3 lately that work fine until you attach them to the atty. Then the light comes on for a second and it goes out. I don't know if I am doing something to them or if they have just reached the end of their life span. I hate to throw them away if there is something I can do. Any suggestions are appreciated.

They are manual, and I'm sure it's not the charger because I have many batteries and it's only doing it on 3 of them. One of them is a Mega and it's brand new. Only had it a day when it started.

Could just be bad batteries. I have 1 out of 6 510 batts that went bad right after I got 'em. Quality control must be pretty spotty if any.

This is my first experience with the Joye 510 batteries dying, but some of them are new. I understand that they can be bad from the factory and such seems to be the case with the ones that are new. (I had another one do it tonight, and it is only a few days old.)

When the battery life is gone, does it go out when you screw it on the atomizer or do you typically notice that it just doesn't last as long as it's supposed to? I am trying to pinpoint what my problem is. I have read at times that the batteries can get liquid in them. I'm wondering if that is the problem.

Has anyone had a battery that worked when it was not on the atomizer, but when you attach them it won't work anymore??

I've got one that does the exact same thing. I taped the button down to drain it and the led stayed lit for about 2 days before it was flat. Then I charged it back up again and it's no better. Still lights up and looks OK when no atty is on it but when I attach an atty and push the button the light comes on dimly then goes out....... Nothing!

Duno but it kinda looks like it could be in the pcb??

Granted I haven't had any die yet, but either failing quickly under load (attached to atty) or not holding charge as long could indicate a faltering battery.

If you have a multimeter, it would be worth checking fully-charged voltage on the batteries in question, resistance on the atty before attaching to batteries, and voltage through atty once connected to batteries. Those 3 checks should give you a definitive answer on where the problem lies.

If found to be the batteries, I'd definitely contact the vendor about replacing the new ones.

I have two Joye 510 mega automatic batteries that I ordered from Heaven's Gifts that I am experiencing this issue with. If I suck on the battery without the atomizer and cart attached it lights up like Christmas. Once I screw the atomizer and cart back onto the battery, my face will turn blue from sucking on the e-cig before the LED on the battery will light up. This equals no vapor because the battery won't activate. A tad frustrating to say the least.
