Joye 510 charger problem

My Joye 510 AC charger conked out on me after about a month. Should I expect it to last longer? When screwing the batteries in they seem to "skip" as if threads are stripped. (I've cleaned the threads but that didn't help.)


How about the life span of the Joye Personal charger? Wondering if I should get a backup for that, as well.
