Problems with Joye 510 chargers

I have been having problems with my 510 chargers. I am refering to the ones that typically come with a 510 kit, that have a short cord to a wall socket and screw the 510 into the rounded side, then the green light turns red and it charges.
What is happening is that they stop recognizing that a ecig was screwed in, so the light does not turn red and it never charges.
I have gone through 2 of these so far. Are they suppose to be disposable? I have bought them from 2 different sources, and got the same thing.
Is it me, or them?
What do you use as a charger for your 510 joye?

Homeish now
I've got the PCC, that charges while out on the town and it charges itself and a battery while plugged it. (with usb to outlet converter)
but I'm also using the short cord(wish it wasnt short) original charger that your talking about. Working just fine for me havnt had to replace it yet.
No they arnt disposable.
Could it be the outlet your using? maybe it's shorting them out.

I use mine almost every day - I have a PT so I dont use more than one or 2 manual batts per day typically. I have my 2 chargers attached to an extension cord to save my poor back :)
Ive never had an issue with either of mine - I do make sure I dont JAM them into the holes, Im very careful to put them in gently as I read that being too enthusisatic might damage the connectors. I also only screw them in until I feel the threads 'bite' and the light changes color. Once it turns red, from being green, I stop turning.
Youre supposed to wipe them off too (the manual batt threads) as juice can get in and mess up the connectors holes.
If one goes bad on you then it was probably a bad unit but if you KEEP having them go bad, it may well be something you are doing; especially if you are buying them from different vendors and getting the same issue.
