When i started esmoking (a month ago) i was fallen in love with the M702 with Pcc. After a week smoking it was not my favorite cig. It not gave me the ultimate "troat hit" i wanted.

I bought the Joye 510 and HMMM this was the one for me. I directly bought the standaard pcc for this model but .... the looks and the sharpness of the metal... no not me. I missed my M702 pcc.

I found on the net the new pcc for the M402 and i say cooool...

the measurements of it was a little bit taller then the pcc of the m702 and i concluded that i can mod it for my joye and started ordering.

After 10 days the postmen came and it feels like it was santa at the door

I packed it out and start unscrewing the pack

I knew before i order it that the screwadapter doesn't fit on the 510 so i replaced it of a standard charger of the 510 with glue. Lucky enough the pcc has enough space for a manuel battery.

After a couple of hours i finished it and i can bring with me:

1x complete joye 510 (atto and manuel battery in one piece long)
1x manuel battery on the charger
5x carts (basic is 4 carts but i made one hole extra)

below with a joye 510 manuel battery inside

The nicest thing too is that the battery of de M702 fits too on this joye adapter, so if i decided one day to bring de m702 cig... that is no problem at all.

below a pic fully loaded

Intresting enough to see that de m702 battery can charge about 7/8 times with the pcc and a joye battery almost 4 times.

bytheway sorry for the poor quality pics.

This was for me the ultimate mod and now i am a very happy esmoker

Very nice!

Does that PCC have the same "glitch" that the M702 has.. where it won't properly charge the PV battery if the PCC battery is also fully charged?

What do you mean exactly by glitch? you mean the inside?
everthing in and on this pcc is the same as the m702... holes inside, electronic only the charge connector is reversed.

my english is not very good so words like glitch i dont know

if there are more questions, let me know i try to explain it.

so that thing fits a fully-assembled 501? i've heard it won't even fit an assembled 401 with the lid closed, and 501's are even longer. did you do something like poke out the bottom of the hole in the spare-batt slot so the assembled 501 will sink down lower in the box? if so, does this make it so that a battery alone will sit too low in the box to get it out, so that the spare-batt slot can only be used for an assembled pv? (this would not be an issue for me as i prefer to carry my pv assembled).

thanks!

Ok, I've got this thing open. There is a lot of room inside of it. I got all of the epoxy off of the connector, clipped the wires in half & it slid right out. Be careful cleaning off the epoxy & pushing it out. There is a thin piece of plastic around the connector that is shaped to the corner of the box. It is going to be easy to move this down and re-attach it so the case will close when I charge a 401. So far, from the looks of it, I'll be able to charge manuals also. I'll get this put back together tomorrow & post my results.
Alesie, thank you! Without your help, I'd still be cursing myself for buying another basically worthless 401 PCC!

nice to hear...

just a tip, i used a hot pistolglue to glue the joye connector in.
this is very difficult to do because you have not much time (when the glue is hot)
to easy insert the connector. you must watch out for the following things:

> adjust is exactly into the middle and
> place the connector alittle bit lower then the m402 (otherwise the pcc won't close.

i took a battery and screwed it onto the connector then glue and insert it in the middle and
measure before you do this the good height.

and watch out for not burning your fingers

Thanks, once again, for the tip(hot glue). What I did is use the 401 connector that was in it. It has a piece of plastic around it that helps line it up. I put a manual 401 battery in it to make sure everything was in the right place & hot glued it. As soon as it dries, I'll put it all back together & post the results here. I used the connector that was in it because I wanted to be able to recharge my 401s.

hmm...
Sorry but I don,t understand what you did...
Did you had a m702 pcc wich you mod for the m402?

Because my pcc was especially for the m402 but i mod it for the 510.

I have the M402 PCC. What I did was move the battery connector down enough so that I could charge M401 batteries with the lid closed. It works, & you can charge M401 manual batteries also. I am charging a manual battery as I type this.

Once again, thank you for your help with this!
