Hello all,

This is my first actual post/thread/question but I have spent some time in the forum reading because I'm switching to vaping asap and there is lots of great info here.

I have a Joye 510-T starter kit arriving in a few days and I was wondering if there is a way to clear out the prefill cartridges without actually smoking them. I have seen videos on cleaning the cartridges, but I was not sure this would clear out everything that was prefilled.

Not that it really matters, but the reason I want to do this is because the cartridges are 8mg nicotine concentration and I want to get to either a very low nicotine level or none right off the bat. I had a blu starter kit with 12mg cartos that made me feel very sick so I returned for my money back and chose the Joye 510-T.

Any help is much appreciated.

Well IF the 510-T tanks do have a cap you may be able to drip into them. I am pretty sure the new Ego-T tanks do have a cap, not positive about 510-T ones. I think the original tanks did not have caps and you had to poke the tank on the atty spike and then fill through that hole with a syringe? I don't know really - I use cartomizers.

You can also call Lowes and Home Depot glues dept and ask if they sell a blunt needle syringe for glue.

And you could order one now online.

Click the 20% off upper left. Then go down to DIY Pipettes, Syringes Needles

Get the 5ml syringe which has a very thin needle and get 14 and 16 gauge blunt needles too

Hello and Welcome Benman08!

I love my 510-T's :)

The tanks do have a little cap that can be removed (without poking the hole) then the liquid can be removed. BUT I personally wouldn't recommend it as it seems that after that cap has been removed even once you are more than likely to experience leaks from it. At least that has been my experience.

As for poking the hole in the caps, you just push the tank all the way onto the atomizer then take it back out to fill it.

You can get a syringe with blunt tip needle from goodprophets, they are even on sale right now for $1.49.

These make filling everything so easy, and you can also use them to get liquid out of the tanks.

I've also found that I like the XL tanks better than the standard ones, they have a better draw and I get a better flavor from them, they also hold a little bit more fluid.
