Hello all! Today I dropped my Ego 510 and after picking it back up, the button on the battery no longer seems to work. It just slides in and out rather than clicking on and off. It does not power the atty anymore or light up. After browsing many forums this one seemed to have the biggest user base and most helpful info in one spot. Any and all help will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Some modders may have a use for your dead battery, as I have seen them given away in the PIF thread. I have found the same thing with my ego's in that if you drop them just right, they do not fire any more. Now when this happens to me, the light on the switch still turns on, but the charger no longer recognizes the battery, and it will not fire an atty. I have had 2 batteries go bad on me, one while I was vaping a cartomizer.

I found that if I banged the ecig in my hand a litte, I could get it to fire for me a couple of times, and then I would have to bang or tap it again to get it to work. I finally just ordered 3 new ego batteries so that I have back up.

I have not had the guts to try and return them as I am pretty sure I caused them to go bad (my supplier warrantys them for 6 months)

One flaw I see with these is that the battery inside the battery case of the ego jiggles around a little, and I think this jiggle can wreak havoc on the connections inside.
