I've read searching thru old ECF posts that some folks have had issues using non-Joye manufactured eGo-C atomizers, mostly inconsistent quality, shorter life, etc.

Is there any reason a genuine Joye atty wouldn't work on another manufacturer's "eGo-C" cone and base? We're just talking about the metal tip on the base making contact with the atty, right? Or is there another issue that would cause less than optimal results when mixing parts from different manufacturers?

Thanks. :)

I wouldn't think that there'd be a problem - chances are the non-joye isn't setting up some 'proprietary specs'... but you never know. You're talking about the coil/spike unit of the eGo-c fitting on an eGo-c type base right?
