Joye Ego Charger

I just got a Joye Ego starter system with a USB charger and wall adapter.

The first day I used it to charge both batteries and the light looked like there was a red, green and orange light all lit up at the same time.

Today, when I went to recharge a battery for the first time, no lights came on. The charger got a little warm, but as my battery was not completely dead i don't know if it is actually charging and the lights are not working.

Anyone have any experience with this? I'd like to order a replacement asap if it is not going to work as in the first 2 days I have had no cigaretts and would like to keep it that way.

That doesn't sound right.

If it matters, the back of my charger reads:

eGo USB charger
Input: DC 5V 500mA
Output: DC 4.2V 420 mA

Normal condition for my charger (with manual batteries) is:

Connect the battery, plug it in. The battery button will blink several times then go out and charger LED comes on steady red.

As the charging progresses the charger LED will occasionally blink green for a split second. The closer the battery is getting to the end of the charge cycle the more frequently you will see that occasional green blink.

Charging done - LED changes from steady red to steady green.

I've never seen my indicator show orange or show more than one color at at time. Your charger may be defective. I would contact the retailer you purchased it from.

finally drained my XL battery after 2.5 days of use. threw it on the charger to see, and after 3 hours it is still dead as a doornail.

New charger will be here on Friday, and hopefully my guy i got the starter kit from will replace the original, then i will have a spare.
