So like a lot of people trying vaping for the first time i went with a ciggie shaped ecig. And like most of those people I saw the potential in vaping and now of course want to go on to bigger and better things. However my wallet disagrees, and would rather I pay the bills and for food and stuff.

The problem is this damn metallic or plasticy or something smell/smoke burning my nostrils and throat. Without the means to buy a whole new rig, and i don't really want to spend 10 bucks in gas for an atomizer at the (not so) local shop, what should I do?

TL DR how do i make an atomizer not taste like burning arc welds.

The 510-t atomizer is older technology, and combined with 510 batteries, will not give you a very powerful vape, but it is usable. Do you know how to properly pierce the tank and seat it in the atty? That's the key to your success. If you're getting a burnt taste, you're vaping a dry coil. Grab your tank and see if it's pierced all the way through and that there are no "hanging chads" left there that may block the flow of your juice to the coil. Take slow, long draws. And make sure that you have enough juice in the tank at all times. Those 510-t tanks are really small.

If you can't get those tanks to work, get a pack of 510 single coil cartomizers, I like Boge and Smoktek, and give those a try.

Good luck.

Yup, same thing as in my link, just the cigalike version (Vicky from Cignot didn't have the picture of her 510-T kit).

So, first of all, I suggest you watch her video. It's titled eGo-C, but it's the same principle. Watch her pierce the tank! I put an empty tank in first, pierce it, then give it a 180 deg twist, just to make sure the opening is complete.

I'm sure you can get it to work, it's just so bloody small. I own a 510 battery and got some 510-T atomizers and they do work... Not very well, but they work.
