Yeah, wanted to like this tank badly.

It's in a drawer now. I had a more consistent vape with the CE4 - and less dry hits.

Using the Ego One with CLR. It's better, but I still get the slightest burny taste pretty often. Haven't been able to run those above 15 watts or so.

even still, way better than the Cubis. I agree it's a coil issue and that eventually, they may figure it out with the Cubis 2. But for now, they're a huge bust for me.

Which pisses me off in a way. You couldn't find a negative review or even the mention of a burnt hit. Makes me question the validity of ANY reviewer.

Well, there's at least one out there that canned it. :) But to your point, I do believe the first reviews on this had an incentive to review it positively, because, while I know this is all subjective, it was massively disappointing . . . especially contrasted with the glowing reviews.

Ohhhh.
Thank you for the clarification.
I had done that as well... But with SS and I could taste the gasket seal that contacts to the bottom of the tank [emoji40]

I actually think that I may be tasting the same thing with the stock coil. I notice a weird "buttery?" But unpleasant taste with the 0.5 stock coils.

Either I'm lucky or not tasting any wierd tastes as most everyone else but I really dig the cubis.

Stock .5 ss coil
30watts
80vg / 20pg
Primed the top of coil b4 putting on stem and let sit for 5-10 min while dry vaping (turned off)

Been using original coil for almost 4 wks. Still going strong

So what wattage are you running it at and what vg percentage juice are you using?

Rocking as in chain vaping with no dry hits?

Yea I have no idea the wattage this thing is working on. TC in nichrome is something different I think on this thing. It says its hitting it with 120w at first and sometimes it'll show a temp and the wattage shows as varying but more often than not its reading 00 and saying 120w which can't be possible cuz that'd blow this build to hell so its regulating something, somewhere. Its just a straight steady vape. Started low and then built it up to comfortable. 70/30 pg/vg.

What mod are you using? Nichrome doesn't work in TC...unless you have that one Kanger mod that claimed that it could do TC with Nichrome but all the reviewers said that it doesn't work. I believe it because nichromes resistance doesn't change enough with heat applied to achieve a reliable temperature coefficient of resistance.

Anyway my rba was supposed to arrive today but it didn't and the tracking still says California...

Kbox120.. TC is working in as much as I believe this thing to be capable of. I've just finished making my last 3 coils with Nichrome and have been using the TC mode. More or less its provided a consistant vape that has actually been regulated of some sort. I've felt the mod kick in and cut the power to my coils when I've been chainvaping so I don't know how hot these are actually getting it was before I burned juice. Started at the bottom of the temp scale and bumped up to taste. Works to me. Running 350F on a .78 ohm coil in a EMOW tank now.. This coils not burning so its gotta be doing something right.

Aright well here's my update with the rba:

Got it, came pre-built with a vertical coil so tried that. It was a tiny bit better than the stock coil but still muted flavor so I decided to build my own since that's why I bought it, right?

Built a vertical coil with 24g SS316L that matched their example quite perfectly. Put it in according to the video and popped it on my dna200. The resistance read 0.02 ohms. I knew that couldn't be correct but I tried to fire it at 14-25 watts thinking it would just equalize or something and after a few very weak vapes I started smelling a nasty burning smell. Opened up the tank and removed the rba to see that the positive lead had all but completely burned through the insulator plug...

My dumb ... should of known immediately that it was a short. Any other mod would not have fired it but of course the dna200 tries to fire everything and I know now can fire just about everything including a hard short...

So I currently use Subtanks with the 1.2 or 1.5 ohm coils with the airflow partially restricted along with using a different drip tip that is more restrictive.

I just ordered a Cubis as I'm very interested in the design of the thing.

Will this be alright for my vaping style? I'm not really a MTL or complete lung inhale person as I sort of do a combination of the two similar to how I use to smoke.

Anybody?

I've heard conflicting reviews on the Cubis and I'm hoping it's only the cloud chasers who have issues with it as I'm definitely not a cloud chaser.
