Hey everyone,

I am currently greensmoke user and have been planning to move to a refillable model as the greensmokes are not great and very expensive. I tried my friends Joytech ecom yesterday and really liked it so i'm planning to try one of them.

I looked on the joyetech UK site and they now seem to offer the normal ecom (joyetech.co.uk/electronic-cigarettes/ecom) and the ecom-c (joyetech.co.uk/electronic-cigarettes/ecom-c). Now I may well be being thick but I can't actually work out what the difference is and which one is better! I thought the ecom-c was newer and hence was probably the one to get but it seems to be cheaper than the normal ecom so perhaps i'm wrong. My friends one was a normal ecom but if the -c version is newer/better then i may as well go for that.

Could someone more knowledgeable than me confirm what the difference between them actually is and which one i should go for! :)

Thanks so much,

Dave

Please - NO.

You are serious aren't you?

Also, Joyetech UK are even more expensive than other shops that sell Joyetech equipment. You are walking into RIP OFF central.

How much are their EVICs? - take a look. I bet they are £89.99

I got one for nearly HALF that from a genuine Joyetech stockist.

Hello Dave, the ecom is a nicer setup IMO compared to the ecom-c. They use the same atomizer, but different tanks. Plus same juice capacity.
Differences i see are the ecom is vv and vw, and has a bigger batter at 1000 to 900. Overall seems like a better kit.

Thanks for confirming Sthur, i couldn't tell from their descriptions but on that basis i'll guess i'll go for the ecom, thanks very much!

djsvapour - i'm not sure what you are saying? Are you just saying not to buy them direct from joyteche (i just included a link to their site to show the product), or are you saying they are are a rip off in general frm everywhere? Or are you saying to buy an EVIC instead of an ECOM? (Or based on your final post are you preferring an ecom-c)? Sorry if i'm being thick!

Cheers!

I did also just notice on the joyetech website at Joyetech Support - FAQ it has a question 'Q: What’s the difference between eCom and eCom-C? ' and it says "The eCom-C is a upgrade device of eCom. You will have more options at tube color, connect threading, atomizer and battery type.". Surely this suggests that the ecom-C is better than the standard ecom?

Thanks,

Dave

No problem...

Joyetech are expensive. However, that doesn't mean some of the products are bad value.

However, what most people don't know is that Joyetech, TECC, Totally Wicked, are basically ALL part of the same selling group.

So, here comes the killer.... not all the products are the same price everywhere. In basic terms, the prices on Joyetech UK are the highest, and yes, in places, a rip off.

For example, Joyetech UK only sell Joyetech (yes, I know!) but other places will sell Joyetech. The eCom "kit" can be bought for £35, or you could easily pay £59.99.
Totally Wicked and/or TECC will sell you other brands, but there are e-cigs on there for £55 that you and me can buy elsewhere for £35.

I bought an EVIC for £50 on a Yo-Yo deal (TECC). They are stopping selling it. I wouldn't recommend it really.

IF you like the eCom - C atomizer, I would buy this.

Joyetech eCom-C E-Cigarette Twist Kit | FREE e-liquid

Now - THAT is a deal. :)

Thanks for confirming djsvapour, that's much appreciated, given it's so cheap i'll grab that one . As Sthur pointed out the -c version is just VW and not VV and doesn't have a 1000 battery available, hopefully the lack of VV doesn't make too much difference!

Cheers,

Dave

I am pretty sure that the ecom-C would be the one to buy, I just started out too and have the ecom, the C2 head is awesome but the ecom-C also comes with it. The ecom-C also comes with 510 thread, which makes it compatible with other tanks. You cannot do this with the ecom.

Would someone care to explain something to me? I have the e-com, and since it is not compatible with any other tanks or heads for that matter, that pretty much keeps me stuck with the C2 Atomizer head, which is fine by me, my experience with it so far has been acceptable. But why would you need a VW mode if you are never going to change to different heads?

As my calculations go, when you are changing between the VV and VW modes, the wattage and voltage values actually mean the same thing if you take into consideration the 2.4ohm c2 head, that is to say when i set my voltage on the twist knob below to 4volts, the same position also gives 6.7watts, it would essentially give you the same outcome whatever mode you are in yes?
