Hi!

I'm relatively new to vaping (only started three weeks ago, but I absolutely love it and haven't touched a real cigarette since - after all the patches, gums, sprays, ... the e-cigs seems to be the best option for me at the moment), but I have learned a lot from this forum.

I'm using an eCom-C from joyetech and would like to buy a portable powerbank, which I'd also use to charge my smartphone.

I was wondering if it would be safe to use this powerbank:

xtorm Powr Bank Free 15000

to charge my eCom-C batteries (both 900 mAh and 1300 mAh)? (Sorry, I'm not yet allowed to post links ...)

I'm just asking because this powerbank has a 3.1 A output, which is rather high, but it would go well for my smartphone and iPad ... I've been reading all over the internet, but have found various advice so I'm not sure anymore.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Hello and welcome, according to joyetech....

It takes about 2.5 hours to charge the eCom Mega via the 1A wall adaptor and about 4.5 hours to fully charge via the 0.5A wall adaptor.

Possibly it will charger faster, but I haven't seen much. If your willing to take the risk let us know how it goes. All I say is watch it and keep tabs while charging.

Hi BfromBelgium and welcome to ECF. That powerbank will work very well for you. It has the ability to output 3.1 amps maximum, but it will only output what your charger draws from it. In other words, if your charger draws 1 amp the powerbank will only output 1A. The good thing is you can use chargers that draw up to 3.1A with no issue for the powerbank. This will handle the eCom-C batteries very easily :)
