I currently am using joyetech ego-c 1000mah standard batteries but I am thinking about getting a joyetech ego-c 1000mah passthrough. I like my current batteries but they don't last me all that long. I think I am going to ask my hubby to get me an MVP for Christmas but that is still a ways away. I spend a fair amount of time in front of the compy so being able to plug in would be great, and being able to use it as a regular battery too is a plus. I just wanted to get some opinions from members that have actually used the passthrough version. Pros, cons, etc. Thanks in advance!

Only talking Joyetech here, since that is what I have. One, if you're going to be hooked up most of the time - like 80% of the time, get the 650 mAh unless you just really like a very long 1000mAh. Two, the eGo-c upgrade passthrough has two modes - constant at 3.4V and what they call 'variable' but not like a Twist variable, where the 'off the charger' type voltage will pretty much stay at @4.1-4.2Volts all the time since you're always charging. That would be good, depending on what clearos and what flavors you vape and so you might want to stick to the 'constant' mode, which will be more like your regular batts. However, it's a good option for espresso :)

They've lasted me a long time and I've only had to replace one so far in the car - and that, I think, is the way I store it there - I bend the cord to put it into a holder:

Clouds of Vapor 'cupvapes' - love them...

... and I think over time (got two years out of it :) it messed with the connection.

And... I'd advice although you're using it by a computer, you should still use the wall plug connection, but that's just me being overcautious or unwilling to sacrifice a $2000+ item for one that costs $25 :)

Thanks guys. I basically just wanted to make sure that it was going to live up to the expectations I have from my other joyetech stuff.

There is a plug right next to the computer so I may use it instead of the computer usb.

I do have one 650, but I do prefer the longer batteries. They just seem to fit better in my hand. I'm really tall so I have man hands :)
