i got an ego-c a little while ago and i find i really am not getting lots of vapor volume with it. what i'm comparing it to is the only other thing i've got. what that is, is a 510 LR atomizer with a drip tip, and i usually use it on a 1000mah battery (i think, it's the joyetech battery with the usb passthrough, the bigger one. that gives me great vapor, but the regular ego-c setup just doesn't seem to cut it. i really seem to end up chain smoking it, just puff after puff after puff... any suggestions?

on another note, does anyone know if the larger battery i have puts out a higher voltage at all? i find that i get a little better vapor on the drip tip setup with the bigger battery, though not a huge difference... is it just all in my mind?

SAME problem, lack of throat hit. Just about 5 minutes ago, I got frustrated and took the C atty apart. Popped off the top cover and sure enough, burnt wick material all around the atty. So, I decided to try this....took out ALL of the wick material. What's happened so far....well, with VG, it doesn't flow into the coils that well, you have to "help" it by tapping the whole thing on a solid surface to force the liquid down. I guess the cohesion vorces on VG is very strong, as opposed to water. Now, I'm trying PG, and about the same thing. If you let the ecig stand upright for about a minute or two, awesome throat hit. One thing that comes to mine. If I could find a small, skinny metal washer and put between the atty and the cone (to block off the flow from the outer edges of the atty but slim enough to get a solid, no leak, fit) then you wouldn't even need the tank, just pour some juice in the cone itself. Almost like advanced dripping. I'd have to modify the mouth piece because so that it wouldn't pour out when tilted. I just checked the battery to adapter piece and it doesn't seem to be leaking there. If I had some tools and parts, I could probably perfect this thing a little bit better and call it Schmoe's Ego. LOL. But anyway, at least I don't have that burnt taste in my mouth...

Buy cartomizers or LR attys and debridge/dewick them :)

No burnt flavor and killer vapor production.
