I've been reading some posts about problems with the Ego-C and leaking, not feeding properly if using VG, etc...

I have not had any issues, and I am using 50/50 mix. The thing works great, and I love being able to change just the atomizer head instead of the whole assembly (like on the T).

I'm wondering if people that are having issues do not have the genuine joyetech one?

Just sayin...:)

I have had good success with the ego-C. It's a genuine Joyetech. I also have some non-Joyetech parts, and there are some differences between them and the genuine ones. I stopped using the clone stuff with the tank cartridges. I use them for dry burns and for dripping.

I think the Joyetech eGo-C atty/tank is "way cool", and worth checking out, if for no other reason than to experience firsthand what I think is an important part of the history of the development of vaping technology.

They might or might have a few endearing quirks, but then - don't we all? :)

Here are some links for exactly what to get; these are for the "B" tank, but you an also get it in the "A" tank size. This attachment will work on just about any device that's about 650mah or up. You can get either low- or standard-resistance atomizer heads. Cone, base, five atty heads, and five tanks would run you about $46.

I believe these are the genuine Joyetech brand. If you see these components somewhere for significantly less money, I think there's a good chance they might not be genuine Joyetech, and I would avoid them.

Also, you can now get the tanks "pre-punched" (no more "hanging chads"), and with either soft rubber or harder rubber/plastic bases. To me. leaking is a virtual non-issue. The heads can also be tweaked if necessary to adjust performance, which IMO can be made to be pretty darn good. Very "stealthy" little setup, too.

(And if you think they're crap, please don't shoot me).

I have the ego-c myself, didn't have any problems with it except at work, but I work in a very hot kitchen and the juice would thin due to the heat and leak a little. Outside of work it worked perfectly, thicker juices I would simply stick a needle into the wick along the spike at the front and back and in the middle so it would wick a little better, could be why it leaked when the juice thinned LOL. I loved my ego-c, but I wanted more for flavor and throat hit than I was getting. Still have the batteries, but now I just use LR 306 atty and drip. Without the ego-c however I would most likely still be smoking analogs. If you like the ego-c as is I'd suggest the LR atty heads too.
