NM. I got it sorted. I took that silicone bit out with a toothpick. Washed it out real good. I love this thing! Most helpful post I've read on this board. Thanks!

Greetings; I got an eGo-CC 6 weeks ago (a real Joyetech CC) and, as I've mentioned in a couple other threads, I've had a terrible time with mine. As PO describes, refilling it by removing the silicone cap was the only reliable method I could find.

When I put a needle-tip bottle in that centre hole (in the silicon cap), it was like the tank would become airlocked, and I couldn't get e-liquid into the tank no matter how hard I squeezed the bottle. At a certain point, the liquid would just gush out over the the cap, and into those air slot on the side of the tank, and then spill out the mouthpiece.

I believe I got a defective CC, because it also leaked like a sieve during vaping, though I've had no success in terms of getting the vendor or the mfc to allow me to return it. I eventually gave up, and got another BCC clearo, a Davide (Mini), which has been fantastic. The same (if not not better) fantastic vapour taste and quantity as the CC, but zero leakage - literally not one drop since I started using the Davide.

Glenn

Dear friend,

Thanks for your email and sorry for the inconvenience.

Please always clean up the place that you show us. After a period of time to use the ego-cc , the place will become this. This situation is normal, so we kindly advice you clear in time. And please be careful when you inject the e-liquid , do not make the e-liquid injected into the vent in .

Hope you understand.

Best wishes!

That's pretty much what I was getting with my eGo-CC. Are you getting a lot of e-liquid in your mouth?

On one occasion I remember a full tank (right up almost to the top of the window) emptying out entirely in about 10 minutes.

I emailed Joyetech, and got the same sort of replies (I think it might have been the same JT rep).

Glenn

I use my CC about half the time, and after I learned a few tricks to make it work right, I haven't had a single issue.

#1. Fill with a blunt syringe, or remove silicon cap.
#2. Suck slow and steady. A fast suck or a hard suck will suck juice through the mouthpiece.
#3. Don't use Cinnamon flavored juice...it will fog the plastic tank!

For what its worth, i have 3 ego-cc's and they all work like a dream. I use a syringe to fill with zero issue. Could be user error if you are having issues.

I've considered that, and of course I can't say that user error is impossible -- it was my first E-Cig, and I've only been vaping for about 6 weeks -- although I had zero problems with the next two clearos that I got, one of which is is a BCC design like the CC.

In any event, i'm very happy with what i'm using now, so I just leave the CC in a drawer.

I just got my new cc yesterday. After realizing the instructions were wrong and having to clean out the pipes to stop the gurgling it works pretty well. Only weird thing is i get a lot of popping when vaping. Is popping bad? Im using a 70/30 solution. Also ive noticed that the vapor can be a bit harsh on the throat and lungs if i pull for more than a second or two. Other than that no flooding or leaking so far, which is awesome! Oh yes, and on the popping question i a using an ego-c 1000 as a battery.

Popping and harsh flavor indicates a dry coil or hotspots/hot legs. Not enough juice is getting to the coil fast enough.

I have a love hate relationship with my eGo CC. When it works, it's great. When it floods the atomizer it's frustrating. I have had some luck replacing the the silicon grommet with the replacement ones I received with my kit, they appear to be slightly stiffer than the original one. I have also backed out the atomizer about 1/2 turn based on a suggestion I read somewhere. All in all I'm OK with it. It is my first try at vaping and I haven't had a Marlboro in a week. I have a mini protank 2 on order and if that goes well I think I will jump on a nice mod (Provari), a protank 2 and a replacement base to get the draw right.

Greetings; You got a replacement grommet included with your CC kit? I haven't been able to find anyone who sells replacements, at least not here in Canada, yet the JT manual indicates that this is a part which will have to be replaced eventually.

My eGo CC comes in tomorrow and these negative posts have got me nervous. This will be my firs vape so hopefully I don't experience the problems others have had. I will definitely be stopping by the shop down the street to pick up some syringe bottles, sounds like that's the easiest way to get it filled.

Rader720 I wouldn't sweat it, personally, because it appears that the majority of people who use a CC have had it work fine, and -- judging by ECF posts -- these people appear to like it a lot. It does provide a really nice vape.

Ya, I think it's fair to say that care is needed in terms of refilling. If you're having difficulty and getting frustrated, you can always remove that white plastic 'grommet' thingee at the bottom of the tank, and then it is simple to do a refill. To remove this piece, I've used a straightened paper clip, the 1/8th" inch jack from my iPod headphones, etc.

But most people seem to have no trouble filling the tank in the normal way.

Good luck! :vapor:
