If a swat team shows up at your door, just tell them the Obelisk 120 was for your 510 flashlight and 510 soldering tip. ;)

    Somewhere between here and there
Why is that if I may ask? Is it actually easier or cheaper to get than in the US? Like I said I havent bought anything since 2016 before all the BS laws came about.
A couple reasons. First off is the record keeping others mentioned. Besides that the same thing is usually cheaper from overseas and you don’t have to pay the extra shipping charges for signature required.
Since the PACT Act went into effect (IIRC March 2021???) I've refused to purchase any vape gear in the USA. The gear I've purchased since has mostly come from Europe.

Under the PACT Act US based vape stores (online and local) are required to collect and store your personal information and purchase history.

Per the details in the PACT Act they are required to report your personal info plus all info on items you purchase to the ATF and your state Attorney General. The ATF??? What da ferk???

That info is not being collected and shared with our gov by foreign online vape stores. For me, the cost of doing business with USA vape stores isn't worth it.

Our government took things a step way too far with PACT Act.

When I buy a wash machine, a gallon of milk or a screwdriver that data does not get reported to our gov or the ATF.

People can go buy a bag of w-e-e-d and all the gear they need from legal dispensaries and experience none of the hassles of the PACT Act. Go figure.
You probably already know this but the PACT Act isn’t new. It was passed several years ago on cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. I used to be able to place an order for Swedish snus and have it ship for about $5. Now the cheapest you’re going to get it shipped is around $35 with adult signature and it goes up from there as the weight increases.

Yeah I should've caught up with the laws before I ordered.

Technically I cant see why when ordering just the box mod without a tank, juice or atty of any kind it can be considered a nicotine delivery device. At that point it could be used for anything really. Amazing what they will do when you take away their tobacco tax slush funding...but they weren't even satisfied once the ecigs started to be taxed. :-x

That's because The Machine and its narrative are strong. SO strong, in fact, that the inconceivable sometimes becomes reality now.

Well...after all the hubbub I received "the package" yesterday and all is well. Was shipped all the way by the PS by the way...I thought...never mind.

It came charged to 60% so after verifying it worked I plugged it in to the fast charger and within a few minutes it was fully charged. I charged it last night before I went to bed and it just now dropped one bar of charge. I vape a .55Ω dual coil @35 watts. It's only slightly bigger in all directions than my old eGrip II...so I stretched the silicone sleeve I had on that over the Obelisk and cut and altered new holes for the functions. It works-ish...but I hope I can find a sleeve that fits correctly. Anyone know of one??

One thing I wish they would change is the charge screen. When you first plug it in it shows the percentage numerically...but then after a second or two it goes to a bar type meter. I wish you could make it keep the numerical meter up the whole time...or at least a way to bring it up at anytime. Another thing is the warnings tell you to unplug it within two hours after it is fully charged to save the battery. WTH...I thought it was smart enough to turn the charge off when it was full. This sucks as I am used to plugging my eGrip in when I go to bed so it was charged for the next day.

So we'll see how long the battery last..both daily and hopefully long term.

@hittman ... how long have you had yours...and was it a daily driver? Any kind of issues?

I really don't remember how long I've had it. Maybe 1-2 years but it was never an all day, every day driver. I always have 12-15 setups going depending on what I have for reviews at the time. I did use it pretty regularly for a while in rotation and never paid any attention to leaving it charging overnight because if you use the fast charger then it charges pretty quickly. I did not have any issues during my time using it.

    OK..good to know..thanks

First full day of use...18 hours of use..177 puffs...about 35% battery at the end of that. Not bad...but I dont see getting 2 days as they advertise...but we all know how that goes.

I did find a silicone case for it on Amazon UK and ordered one.

Thanks again for all the help everyone. :toast::vapor:

I feel like it’s common place for manufacturers to over rate battery capacity or I should say how long a battery lasts. A lot of pods claim all day use with an 800-1000mah battery. It all depends on how much you vape and what wattage.

Yeah It would be hard to pin down a time a mod will last due to vaping settings and styles are infinite even on a single setup.

To think I used to have these lined up on chargers just to make it through the day. I have boxes of this stuff..a lot NIB still. I was surprised that some of these still have a charge after 12 years or so when I started making my own. Wonder they will ever be a museum piece?
