Ok, I finally got the time to give the SS wicks another real shot.

Turns out, for the 325 I got from OKC Vapes (via the link volume control posted), 8x16mm seems to be working. I've only had it in there for 20 puffs or so, so I'm not sure yet if it'll leak, but it's vaping much, much better than my previous attempts at 20mm (which fit so tightly that I couldn't get it through the spike without smashing the end a bit). It did taste a little funny at first, but that went away after 3 puffs or so.

I also didn't oxidize it this time. Not sure if that is the real reason I like it this go-around. I suspect it might be. I did it on a new atty (wanted to see if it'd short out or not) and it seems fine so far. FWIW, this was a knock-off atty that I got for $2, which is pretty good news to me since I've got like 40 of these left, and they taste like utter garbage with their stock wicks...

I did also drop some liquid straight onto the coil before I reassembled it, if that matters. I think it might for the knock-off atomizers because they have really sloppy internal wicks -- they're not cut anywhere near as precisely as the official ones and generally have a lot of overhanging fibers.

I do think it's drawing more juice out of the tank, but that's a good thing (it does have a bit more taste). However, I'm now quite buzzed off my 36mg liquid lol.

This is true, if youre depleting these all the way before charging you will degrade the battery more quickly. I take maybe 10-20 puffs and recharge

I know this wasn't for me in particular, but wanted say....I don't plan on waiting for them to blink, after today. I have read that it is easier on them if you charge more frequently. I am testing them, and the pcc, out today. I want to have detailed info for all my interested circle.

I think it might not be a fit for some of you. It shouldn't be work. It either meets your needs or it doesn't. Don't try to force it. If you need a big batt, go do that for now.
I think the Eroll appeals to those that enjoyed the auto minis when we started vaping, but the technology was lacking then.. the Eroll has filled the gaps. It is a good starter ecig too. It doesn't need to satisfy everyone... Nothing does. I like it. It works.

Like it or not blu cig are probably the most sold Ecig out there. Almost everyone has tried a blu cig at some point. A comparison to blu cigs gives a good reference point to a ton of people.

Like it or not there is nothing to compare, they are completely different delivery systems. There literally isnt a thing in common between the two other than they have blue LEDs at the tip, and vaporize eliquid. No one comes in here goading us to compare an eroll to a provari, you know why? Because they cant be compared, they are different devices. Someone who likes and prefers Blu is not going to find the eroll to be enjoyable unless they are looking for a big change. The same goes for a Provari, etc

Anyone who uses a blu and finds that it isnt cutting it for them, should be looking for a better delivery system, devices like the eroll, ego series, provaris, reos, and other high quality devices that countless members of this forum have reviewed in great detail. Its really up to them to look around and see what they think suites them best.

Lets try this, I see a couple of concerns about the eRoll that many have made with blu.

Battery issues. Same as blu, the batteries. I am seeing a lot of problems related to the battery. The batteries die after just a few charges or are doa. Correct me if I am wrong here, but there is no way to charge the battery other than with the PCC? If that is true, what are you going to do when the pcc dies? For me part of not smoking analogs is that I have to always have something, or I will run out and buy a pack. The PCC is also going to wear out quicker with this setup.

attys. Just like the blu cartidges, some work , some don't. Is it a high percentage? Is just the people that bought knockoffs?

Leaks. It seems like quite a few people have issues with the eRoll leaking. To me that sounds a problem.

I have not tried them, guess that is why I was asking.

I'm quite new with eRolls, so i don't have a long experience, but

Battery issues: Never heard, but i believe it's possible. Just like any other electronic device. I keep two PCC's in daily rotation and one for emergency, for example if these both two happens to die at same day :)
Attys: All that i have tried seems to work properly. I use only genuine stuff.
Leaks: None. But i can imagine that it could happen with pg juices.

Thanks, is there no way to charge the cigarette battery except with the pcc?

I can imagine that some kind of detached charging device could be easily made, but as far as i know, there ain't any chargers on market except the pcc. But i don't see that as a problem at all, just keep one extra pcc in case of emergencies.

No, I don't think there is. but, for me that isn't a concern as I have numerous mods, egos, and other devices. For a new user, I think this is a good point. They should get a back up device of some sort, an additional pcc or something else. Ofcourse that applies to any device, right?

Leaking? Haven't seen any.
Bad atomizer? Could happen. Better carry a back up atomizer or two. You will have to carry extra cartridges any way so extra atomizers are easy as they are quite small.

Hope this helps.
