What nic level and coil resistance are you using? I assume the kit comes with the ego one atty? Try the 1 ohm coil if you're in power mode or turn the temperature down if in tc. Set the air control at its tightest setting. You might also have to reduce your nic level. Also if you're using a 50/50 vg/pg the pg can cause more of a throat hit.

Most people who move into sub ohm tanks cut their nicotine in half or more. The better the delivery device, the more juice consumed and the more nicotine ingested. Harshness can be attributed to two issues, high PG and Nicotine level. If you have juice that is "high" nicotine (for sub ohm I would say 6mg is high or equal to 12 to 18 in a starter tank) you can buy the same flavor in a zero nic. Combine the two equally and you will have juice in half the nicotine level.

At 24mg nic in a subohm tank your nicotine is the main issue. You need to cut it in half or more.

If you are new to all of this, that setup at 24mg nic will kick your ..... I'm a low wattage vaper (tootle puffer) and I use the ego one/evic as more of a mouth to lung setup. Now granted I use the kanthal coils in wattage mode, but I crank the air flow way down to just a small hole and vape at about 8 watts. I'm way past the time when I used higher nicotine, but I was a heavy smoker and started on 24mg liquid. If I were to guess I would think that 12mg would have been plenty high enough on that setup if it had been around when I started vaping. I would suggest you get some 0mg liquid and mix yours down.

Way to strong for a newbie like me cough cough. Any one know what I should set this thing to. I am a smoker who is trying to quit so I guess it is mouth to lung. How should I set the air flow. I am so confused.
I always recommend for someone just coming off smoking who does mouth to lung hits to try a nautilus mini with vertical cotton coils at 8 to 12w and using a Nic high juice like you are. That's more like smoking. You can try subohming at lower Nic levels later, the important thing is to get off cigs. Good luck!

@Vape Ross Vape I have a Coolfire variable wattage with a sub ohm tank, and I rarely vape up near 30 watts. I don't like throat hit, and some of my favorite flavors taste best at lower watts. What I do is start my watss super low, and slowly boost them up until I find a sweet spot for taste for whatever juice I'm using. It helps avoid that punched-in-the-throat feeling.

I also only use 3 or 6mg of nic usually, sometimes 12mg but not often. And I used an ego type kit for about ayear prior to this. Honestly, there's no one right answer, you just have to fiddle until you find what you like. I'd definitely try a lower nic liquid and opening the airflow the whole way, like others have said.
