I received this device in a orange color with black fire button. This is unique and nice little mouth to lung device, pocket friendly. Very good build quality, body is made of metal, fire button is made of plastic and paint looks really good as well.
To activate this device you have to press the fire button, and fire button is big but only half of it can be pressed. On the fire button is joyetech logo with writen exceed -edge-. Fire button quality is good, really good actually, it reacts every time when it's pressed, no missfires so far. It feels good in hand, and button it's perfectly placed for thumb, very, very comfortable to use.
It is really easy to use this device, 5 clicks on fire button to turn it on and 5 clicks to turn it off. Everything is simple here, so new users will have no problems at all.
On the bottom of the device you can see micro usb charging port and led lights which indicate battery life and light is on always when you press the fire button and vape. On the top of the device we have connection for the coil, positive and negative gold plated spring loaded contacts.
Max charging current for this device is 0.6A, and capacity of the battery is 650mah, which is really good, and better then other pod devices on the market right now. When you want to charge the EXCEED Edge battery you can do it by connecting it with a computer or a wall adapter via USB cable. When it's fully charged, the indicator light will go out. When device is on the charger you still can vape.

Cartridge stays perfectly in place and there is no chance to randomly falls out, you can remove it by pulling it out gently. On the cartridge you can see ruuber plug, when you pull the plug there is a small hole for e liquid. Capacity of the cartridge is 2ml of e liquid and it's tpd compliant. When you want to fill cartridge with e liquid you need to make space in hole so air can escape from the same hole. On the bottom of the cartridge you will see metalic ring, and this ring is basically base for the coil. When this ring is unscrewed you need to screw coil in that ring and then screw ring back to the cartridge. It is very easy to change the coils. I need to mention, for beginers who never used e cigarette, when you are using coil for the first time you will need to prime it with few drops of e liquid, otherwise your coil might not work properly. Cartridge is really good shaped, and very comfortable to use.
This device is compatabile with d19 coils, and both coils that i received in the package are 1.2ohm. This coils should be used in range of 8-14w, and coils are very good.
Air hit coil from the bottom of the cartridge, and it is not very tight draw, Exceed Edge has an airier draw, lets say loose mtl. Airflow is very, very smooth, really good airflow.
Throat hit is soft which i think is really good, because when i gave this device to people who smoke to try it, they said that is really good that they dont feel harsh throat hit from nicotine. I need to mention that people who want to quit cigarettes, they will probably go for small device with good battery capacity, and this device is just perfect.
I use e liquid with 60%-40% vg-pg ratio for m2l, and the device works really good with my liquids, there's no leaking or spit back, coil is well saturated and as long as you have liquid in cartridge there is no any chance to experience dry hit. I even tried liquid with 70% vg and it works just great.
This is direct output device, so basically vapor production will slowly decrease with discharge of the battery.
Flavor is good, not like rta, which is normal, but definitely better than other pod devices i tried and vapor production is good. I like d19 coils, they are good and they can last for a month for sure if you use them properly.
I recommend this device for someone who want to quit with cigarettes, because built in battery can last you more than a day, and this is very compact device without any issues so far, it is not expensive and you will get 2 coils in package that you can use for 2 months.
