The wattage on the mod can go up to 75 W. What should I set it at ?
The rule of thumb for EVERY vape device you'll ever own is the same (when running in power or wattage/voltage mode). Turn your voltage/wattage down, take a few hits, bump it up, couple more hits. Repeat until you find your "sweet spot". If it starts to taste funny, gets too hot or tastes burnt, back it down. Different flavors will have different sweet spots so you just have to experiment.

Hi kjg. The wattage of the vape is determined by one main issue. FIRST is the ohm measure of the coil. On the side of the coil it should tell you what the rating is and the "suggested" power setting.

I can't "guess" what the coil reads, or if it is a temp control or power mode coil, to suggest a setting. Your mod should also read the coil to give you an idea of what power to apply. Let us know the specifics and we can be more help.

Here are the specs on the clearomizer :

  • Stainless Steel and Pyrex construction
  • Adjustable Base Airflow
  • Adjustable Mouthpiece Airflow
  • 510 Drip tip compatible
  • 0.4ohm coil installed (Organic Cotton)
  • 1.8ohm coil spare (Organic Cotton)

I am guessing the .4 ohm coil is for power mode. I would suggest starting at 20 watts and take a medium draw. Bump up the power setting a watt or two and repeat. If it gets too hot, tastes funny or starts to taste burnt, BACK the power down. Different juices will have different sweet spots so you 'll just have to experiment a little.

Be CERTAIN to prime the coil. A couple drops down the chimney (open part of the coil head after it is screwed into the base of the tank) and a drop on the sides where the cotton wicks show. After filling and reassemble take a few UNPOWERED draws to draw juice into the wick and coil (I cover the airholes to create more suction). Let filled tank sit for five minutes or so and then start LOW POWER when you are trying a new coil. Once the cotton gets burnt the coil is dead and will give a horrible hit.
