Issues with eVic VT

Hey so I'm newish to the vaping community. I've been vaping steadily for 2 years almost but have gone through a lot of different mods, boxes and set ups. This past Christmas my roommate bought me a joyetech eVic VT and it's been working fine up until this past Saturday. I was using it when I realized that it wasn't hitting as hard as it usually does and noticed that the wattage is now at 1.0 W as opposed to 19.9 W. I can't change the wattage, fire it up, or even turn off. I finally let the battery run out and now wondering what I should do. The place I got my vape pushed the button a couple times, then asked for the receipt (which I don't have) and said they can't help me. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a defective circuit board. You might try contacting Joyetech, but my guess is they will ask for the sales receipt also. If you're willing to pay out-of-pocket to have it fixed, they might. But my guess is you'll be able to buy a new mod for the cost of repair.

not much experience with the full size vt... not sure if there is a way to do a reset or possibly try to 'reset' via a firmware update

Hi and welcome. +1 to everybody. Joye is famous for denying warranty work. And fixing the silly thing will probably cost more than a new one. You say you've let the battery run down. Try charging it and see if it resets. If not, I don't have another idea.

Honestly I have one and guess watt, it broke and just sits in my junk drawer. So yes you will want to get another mod. Do your research before buying please. Ask questions and hope they get answered for you on here.

What was the ohms reading. Work the pin in the 510 incase there's a problem. Try another tank or coil. There could have been a problem with the atomizer or the connection. There may be liquid that got on the board. You can open the top and check.
