Hi Sy. If you mean a unit like this Joye ego-t 18650 Mod Battery Then it should be ok with a kick. I think that the switch assembly is rated rather low(2.5amperes) but it should fit a kick with an 18490 battery all within the housing as it is. I think having a second switch assembly may be a good thing to have handy. Low resistance may not be something that would be advisable but with variable wattage you should have no real issues that I can think of. Good Luck. Happy vaping.

I was looking into getting the Ego T mod a few days back thinking I'll be able to put a kick in it, but I ended up getting the Ego 14500 mod after reading here that the kick doesn't work on the Ego T mod.

Unfortunately, it does not work with the kick.:( I think it's because everytime you remove the battery, it resets to regulated. And without power (with kick in it), you can't switch it to unregulated. But without the kick, it performs very nicely with a dual coil cartomizer (unregulated).

ASK THE VENDOR on this.

I personally would NOT use a kick to boost that device. It has an active circuit board regulating the voltage in two modes. None of those modes are designed (as far as I can tell) for 5 volt input. Besides, even if one mode works, if you put it into the "other" mode, it could fry.

The only one that can say for sure is Joytech. The vendor may know the answer.

I concur with everything you said. A 5v nihm battery or Kick would likely fry the electronics in this. Better go with another device if you want higher voltage, but you'll probably need to pay twice as much at least.

I love my eGo T 18650 mod. It's my favorite everyday PV right now. But I wouldn't use a 5 volt in it...and I read about not being able to use the kick. I run LR on mine with no issues. Sweet vape...IMO!!

edit- to clarify I do use LR but not the 1.25 ohm and under type. Never have, so that slipped my mind as what might have been meant by"low resistance" by a previous poster.
