Hi I've always been getting info from your forums for past few years now. I lost my other account. :(

Here's a question for people who use the cuboid.. I recently got a joytech cuboid 150W. Problem is it won't let me use temperature control. There are two modes Nickel and titanium. I don't know which one to choose. What do they mean?

Nevertheless I choose either one but my cuboid goes right back to previous wattage setting. I uploaded a short video on YouTube demonstrating the issue. Am I doing something wrong? Could using two different batteries for the mod cause it to fail like that?

Hi and welcome. The two modes are for nickel and titanium wires. You select the mode to match the wire you're using. The reason it's popping back to wattage mode is probably because you have a Kanthal coil installed, or at least some wire not matching the mode you have set. If you are using prefab coils, they will say Ni or Ti on the base by the ohm number. If they don't, you can't use them in TC mode. And using dissimilar batteries may or may not be causing the problem, but I think it unlikely. If it was an issue it seems more likely to me to not work at all. However, using dissimilar batteries is a really bad idea. They can discharge at different rates and cause an overload on one battery, leading to a vent or even an explosion. Multi battery mods should use "married" pairs-- or triples for 3 battery mods-- of batteries. Start with a brand new set of identical batteries, and always use them together, charging and discharging them at the same time. This evens the wear or number of life cycles on them so they charge and discharge at the same rate. You can use the pairs in more than one mod, but not split the pairs and use them one at a time, or matched to unmarried batteries. Fat Daddy Vapes sells battery wraps in different colors; you can rewrap your batteries in similar colors to keep the pairs together. Here's a photo of some married triples I use in my RX200s. Every battery in the picture is an LG HG2, the "chocolate" or "poop stick" battery; the far right ones are the wraps they come in from the factory. The other two sets I have rewrapped to keep them together:

Thank you. So if I use kanthal wire won't variable temperature setting work?
