I was hoping someone can help me.

The joytech wall adapter (with USB plugin) doesnt seem to work anymore on my vaporizer, the only plug right now is a USB but had to get rid of it because of a split wire. So I really need to find something today.

Now it seems the Joytech adaper part works just fine for my cellphones but only the "bad USB" plug works for my vaporizer. So I dont know if it is my vaporizer. I tried multiple USB plugs but nothing works (they work for cellphones)

Do USB all work the same or are there different ratings?

In my joytech manual the power output says DC 5V/1000mA- So I am assuming that I must find a plug equiv to that? can it be a smaller output v? I really am just tryng to be safe here and was hoping I could use a charger that can be found outside of the vaporizer shops which are expensive where I am.

Hopefully this is all making sense. Thanks for reading :)

The output voltage must be the same. The amp rating should be 1 amp (1000 mA) or higher. The usb wall adapers for your phone or tablet should work just fine.

Usbs work at 5 volts.

There are three sizes of USB plugs.

Regular Mini and Micro.

I think the problem is too low a power rating on your charger and the battery won't charge on the mod. You really should try and get a separate charger and charge your battery outside the mod.
The original Evic VT has a built in battery.

If I had a mod like that and the original USB lead (or similar), I'd use a 5.0v 2.1amp UK specification wall adapter (wart?)
They are under $15 in the supermarkets. I don't use the Apple ones. They are not quite the same.
In our house, we have apple and everything else.... we never mix and match the wall warts (rightly or wrongly)....

Thanks for all your replies!

The adapter, was made specifically for my mod. All of the USB cables I use with the wall adapter, do not work anymore, minus the one that is unsafe due to the wires. Which I find weird. Because if the wall adapter was shot, one would think that it would not work either.

I am narrowing down the issue with the mod or the adapter itself- wont know till tomm as the stores are closed.

Man I will say this- for now on I get a vaporizer with external batteries. Lesson learned :)

Hard to say for 100% sure the charger was the cause, but I am 99% sure it was.. See:

Some wall warts don't put out the same volts or mah. Better to just pay for a new charger (external if your mod supports that) or the proper USB charger for your mod.
However.. if you mod won't charge on the original charger, even with a new usb cord, and won't charge from the USB on your PC, then I think the USB port on the mod is damaged.

I wish more people would learn that.

When a mod with internal battery dies you are left with a paperweight.

So the more i read and re-read over this thread, I started thinking maybe the usb circuit is damaged or your battery is shot on your mod. But, this is also a good excuse to get a new mod, for roughly the same or less than what you have cost, and close to what a new charger would have cost had it been the charger. I found this. It looks pretty decent, but I haven't tried one...
Eleaf Pico Squeeze Coral Kit
and it takes batteries you can take out to charge on a charger. So like 2 hours rather than 6

Recommend to use only a wall adapter with this rating: DC 5V/1000mA.
Using an adapter with a higher mA rating is preferable. It's less likely to heat up too much. Amps are drawn, not pushed, so there's no problem using higher rated wall adapters.
