A very good question! I would like to know myself. I prefer to order from a vendor who strictly produces the e-fluid. One who does not buy some other vendors then mixes it or rebottles the stuff. I would think a vendor who produces the juice in a lab type enviroment would be more acceptable than those who bottle it in the basement. A good example of the anology I am trying to convey. Look up Rath juice. Allot of folks liked the stuff=but it turned out questionable. It was a bad example to set for juice vendors. I still have those bottles of rath juices and the supplier/vendor bottles. The supplier just rebottled the rath and sold them as a usa juice. I could not figure out why I was getting some adverse effects from the stuff. So yes reputation may have some role in the quest for caution/sanitation!

There is a video on here someplace showing conditions of a Chinese factory Dekang ?
Looked pretty impressive, even had a machine to put 'booties' over your shoes
Mabee someone will post the link..hint hint
I've been using Tasty Vapor juices without problems,
and I'm sure there are many other 'good' vendors
You can always DIY..carefully !

I believe most USA-based juice vendors with very few exceptions are mixing the stuff up in their homes, without the benefit of a so-called clean room. It doesn't take much of a stretch of the imagination to picture the kids and dogs running in and out, sick people mixing up the juice, and lack of any real quality control. Makes the Dekang and other Chinese juice sound not so bad, and makes DIY seem the best route of all.

i copy pasted this from the youtube link posted above

''Excellent facility. The cleanliness of the facility was never in question for me. What is not shown is the actual chemicals going into the juice.

Certain Chinese ejuice manufacturers (ie Dekang) let DEG into their juice which is toxic for us.

Remember the big toothpaste recall? That was DEG.

Various suppliers have had their Chinese ejuice tested and came back with various amounts of DEG traces over 10% which is the main reason for the switch to USA Juice.

Sanitary poison is still poison.''

All those quotes you make are the justifications the FDA is using to regulate the industry, despite the fact that they were found to be at best completely misleading as to what was found in the juice (one trace amount of DEG in one of the many many samples taken, trace amounts of other chemicals in quantities equal to or less than those present in the cigarettes). And just getting a US juice mixer is no guarantee of either the purity or safety of their juices. Have you seen their mixing room? Some of the flavoring agents contain diacetyl and other known pulmonary toxins...does your juice mixer use those flavourants? Rath, which someone else mentioned earlier in this thread, was one of the faves of a large number of vapers, and if you have looked that up, you'll know how badly that ended up turning out. Frankly, you actually could get safer juice if you ordered from the UK, as they have a vendor organization with safety standards that their members have to adhere to.

MadVapes is one of the US exceptions. They just moved into a new facility and the update included the following comment:

We'll try and get some pictures up of our new place and new e-liquid clean room as soon as possible...

Should be interesting to get a look behind the curtain!

That would be great. As I noted, there are few that actually have what we would think of as 'facilities'. Johnson's Creek is one with a true clean room, and I believe PureSmoke also employs a 'real' chemist and has more rigorous QA than just, 'yup, tastes good to me' kind of thing.

That would be great to see, as I've heard good things about a lot of their juices. As I noted, there are few that actually have what we would think of as proper 'facilities'. I think Johnson's Creek is one with a true clean room, and I believe PureSmoke also employs a 'real' chemist and has more rigorous QA than just, 'yup, tastes good to me' kind of thing.
