Has anyone ever seen this and can you explain it to me? This RY4 changed color from a light tan color (pretty clear) to a green color! It has sit for about a week and I went to vape on it and realized it changed colors in a very disturbing way! Here is the end result. 20130107_100009[1].jpg

Man... You weren't kidding when you said Green. I don't think I would vape it.

Is this the Only e-Liquid that has turned Green?

Is the Tank / Carto New?

what are those caps made of? what juice were you using in that tank before that? i've seen this from black cartos before, and it could be those caps changing the color and tainting the juice.

sent from my Optimus Prime using Tapatalk Infinity

The caps are anodized aluminum caps. I have never used any other type of juice in this tank yet. I have another tank exactly like this with a different juice and they don't change odd colors.

Has the e-Liquid changed color inside the bottle it came in also? Or just in this Tank?

Yes I meant GREEN! :D I dumped it out it looked a bit like the plague! I have never had another liquid turn green until now. The tank is fairly new probably filled it 5 times now and the carto was used for one day then sat with the tank for about a week. When I picked the tank back up it was green... a bit funky I think.

Yeah, put the juice into a clearo, without those end caps.......let it sit, and see if same problem.

I didnt realize that it was just in the tank that it was turning. If it is not turning at the same rate as the rest of the bottle, there is something wrong with the tank. Maybe some oil on the metal from machining? Its kinda disgusting to think that there are manufacturers out there that would clean the tank after machining though.

Not sure if an Oil could do something like that or not?

It might. Or the e-Liquid may be Oxidizing with some Bare Metal.

Drop some of that juice from the bottle into a clean new clearo and see what happens. Aluminum does react wo some acids in ways that other metals do not. Acids can etch it, etc. Is the inside of the alumin caps anodized and if so is it changing colors too? If so it may be a reaction to the anodization process or if bare aluminum, it could be oxidizing the aluminum. What juice are you using and is it high in acid like a red hot, or citrus juice?

If it is Oxidation, then Green is usually a marker of Copper.

And Copper is a Base Plating for Many Finishes because things like to stick to Copper.

Ie: Chromium doesn’t stick well to Steel Alloys. But Copper does. And Chromium sticks to Copper. So to Chrome Plate Steel they first Plate the Steel with Copper and then Plate the Copper with Chromium.

I have just Never seen an e-Liquid turn quite such a Deep Shade of Green before.

I wonder if the OP lives near a Nuclear Power Plant or an abandoned Test Site or something Similar?
