Hey folks I'm new to posting on ECF but not really new to vaping. Have a question for you all.

I've been vaping lately out of my chobras and other plastic type RBA's. Have yet to try one with a glass tank, and was wondering... Maybe 2 or 3 hours after putting my juice into the tank, it's almost black. It gets really really dark, really fast. The taste doesn't change a whole lot, but it does change. And really it looks kinda gross. I always end up using the needle to suck it out and refill it, but that's money I'm losing. Does this happen with glass tanks as well like with Zenesis and iHybrid etc?

Nicotine is very sensitive to heat and light. If you fill your carto (or whatever) and carry it around in your pocket, your body heat will start to generate the juice darkening. In my experience the tobaccos and chocolates go fastest and first. The curious thing is that juices I make myself very, very, seldom turn any color at all. Perhaps it is some of the additives that go into commercial juices. IDK. In some cases if you have been using a carto (or whatever) for more than a couple of days the juice left on the coil after taking a puff will slowly drift down to the bottom of the carto and then more and more until it looks really gunky. That's why I clean my clearos and tanks every couple of days.

It's happening on my ss mesh wicks. Maybe the juice that soaked into the wick is seeping out into the tank juice? If so, it's happening really fast and, well it's just gross. The coil I have now, as is usual, is a damn good wick and I just hate to replace it all the time when I can get these things lasting months for me... If only it didn't darken my juice. I was really hoping that using glass would fix this but it sounds like the problem lies elsewhere.

This might simply be heat in the wick from the vaping process. The whole SS mesh wick gets hot and heats the juice down in the tank and turns the juice dark.

I notice this a lot in my Genesis-style tanks. I notice the juice also gets thicker as some of the water is removed during the vaping process. I usually thin it out with 1-2 drops of distilled water after it gets dark and I get below half a tank. I do try and finish the tank and NOT just add more juice. I remove any of the old with a syringe before refilling.
